Theresa rested her head on Chad’s chest, his arms tightly wrapped around
her small waist as they relaxed on his couch. "We’re going to make it."
He told her kissing her forehead gently.
She looked up at his with bright eyes, "We’ve got to fight back Chad.
I can’t let her win, we can’t let her win."
"You don’t worry about that baby. Right now I want you thinking about
our wedding, just keep your mind on that."
"On becoming Mrs. Chad Harris? I think I can do that." She smiled.
"We can over come anything Theresa, we’ve just got to work together."
He said playing with her long brown hair.
"I know that sweetheart, but we’ve got to be totally honest from now
on. Its the only way."
He smiled. "So anymore secrets you want to share with me?"
Theresa thought for a moment, "Shall I name all my former boyfriends?
Starting with Tad Lewis from 2nd Grade? Or just the ones I really cared
about?"
Chad laughed, "Well is ole’ Tad a threat to me?"
"Last time I heard, Tad was married with three kids, so I don’t thing
he’ll be bothering us."
"Then how about the ones you really cared about?"
Theresa smiled, "You already know that list, Noah, Ethan and you."
"That all?" Chad said arching an eyebrow.
"Well Craig Thomas but that was 7th Grade and that only lasted until
he shaved his head, I got over him pretty quick.." Looking up at Chad she
smiled. "How about you hot shot? Wanta tell me about all the lady loves
in your life."
"Well you know all about Whitney but of course with her being my sister
and all I say just forget that one.And of course now you know about Tara,
there was this one girl, Shelly, she was a cute little blonde, but it never
went anywhere. She was a singer and she ran off to pursue her career. But
of course they never held a candle to the way I feel about you."
"So that’s it? Our love lives exposed and on the table?" Theresa laughed.
"That’s it. Unless you have another fiancé to tell me about."
Chad said jokingly.
"Does 2nd grade count? Cause Tad and I had one of those playground
weddings."
"So you’ve been married before!" Chad mocked. "I should have known."
"Oh whatever." Theresa giggled tickling Chad as he began to laugh.
"Stop please!" He begged through laughter.
"Nope can’t do it." She said smiling as she tickled his stomach.
"But I love you!" He said gabbing her by the waist. Leaning down she
let her lips touch his, kissing the man that she loved. "We’re going to
have it all Chad." She whispered before kissing him again.

"Eve did he hurt you?" Julian asked holding the mother of his son. She
pulled away and looked at Julian, her wiping her eyes roughly. "I was afraid
he’d hurt you." She admitted in a soft voice. "He said all these horrible
things to me and, I, I slapped him."
"You slapped him?" Julian gasped.
"He just made me so angry, and then he left."
"Well no need to worry about me Eve, I’m fine." Julian smiled as he
lead her into her house. "I wasn’t going to let him hurt me."
"But he was so mad."
"And I stood up to him. My fear left Eve, when I saw him my fear just
went away."
Eve smiled slightly, "I’m so glad to hear that. It’s just that T.C.
has such a temper, but I’ve never saw him this angry, his eyes they scared
me."
Julian frowned, he could still hear T.C’s warning. "I’ll kill you if
you touch her." "Eve its going to be okay."
"You think so?"
"You don’t worry about it Eve, T.C. won’t hurt you, or me."
"What about Chad?" She whimpered.
Julian felt anger seep into him as he thought about his son, "I won’t
let him hurt my son either! Eve, I’ll do everything I can to protect both
you and Chad."
Eve shook her head, her mind miles away, "I don’t understand what happened,
he told me someone informed him of everything going on, but who Julian?
Who would do that? Sam? One of the teachers at the school?"
Julian gripped his fist together. "No Eve, they didn’t tell him anything!
But I know who did!"
"Julian, who told him?"
"My daughter did this!" He almost yelled. "Jasolyn told T.C."
"Julian she would do that to you?" Eve asked a shock tone in her voice.
"That child would do anything, and I do mean anything to get her way!"
Eve stood up and looked at Julian, "Would she hurt Chad?" She suddenly
asked fear in her eyes.
"Hurt Chad?"
"Would she do something to my son Julian?"
Julian dropped his head, "I’m afraid she might try."
"Then I think its best if you go." Eve choked out slowly.
"You don’t mean that." Julian pleaded.
Eve nodded her head, "I do Julian, I’m glad we have been able to become
friends but I can’t let her hurt my son. If we stop coming around each
other, she might back down."
"But Eve, I care about you. Please don’t shut me out of your life again.
I’ll take care of Jasolyn. I don’t want to loose you again." Julian begged
his eyes searching out Eve’s for some sort of answer.
Moving away from Julian, Eve turned her back, forcing back tears she
spoke. "Julian, don’t do this. I hope you haven’t misunderstood my feelings
for you, because all I wanted was to get along. For Chad’s sake."
"Fine! That’s fine. I’ll take what I can get." He let out, moving toward
her.
"But if Jasolyn is a threat to my son, we can’t even do that. I think
its best if you just leave."
Julian walked over to the door, opening it he watched Eve, her back
turned to him. "She won’t get away with this." He said as he shut the door.
Eve sat down on her couch tears streaming down her face again. "I’m
so sorry Julian." She whispered to the walls. "But I have to protect our
son."
