Back in Time,  Chapter 5
by ejcrane

“Whitney, sweetie, put the gun down, I can handle it from her,” Sam advised the daughter of his best friend.

She did as she was told and lowered the gun from Julian’s head and backed away. Sam then came in and began reading Julian his “rights” while he pulled out his handcuffs and arrested Julian, not giving him a chance to explain. But, what could Julian explain anyway? That he was there to make love to Eve one last time before he married Rebecca? That he and Eve both had a past together and still, there was something there? No, no, he couldn’t do that; he wouldn’t do that to Eve. He would just let them take him in, and would stay silent for Eve’s sake.

Sam looked to Eve and viewed the state she was in. Her mascara was smeared, her blouse was ripped open, and her hair was mussed; while Julian’s pants were undone and pulled slightly down…

His jaw tightened…

God, what did Julian Crane want with Eve? To make him do this?! Sam knew that Julian was a bastard, well, with the way he was with Ivy, but to just barge in on Eve and to try and force himself upon her?!

He tightened the cuffs on Julian’s wrists causing Julian to gasp.

“Come on!” he gritted through his teeth and shoved Julian outside of the Russell home.

“Mom!” Whitney exclaimed and ran into Eve’s arms, “He didn’t hurt you, did he?”

“No,” Eve shook her head, “No…he didn’t…” she whispered.

TC arrived home, and not too happy! His team had lost at the tournament and now, he had come to learn that Julian Crane was in his home and had attempted to FORCE HIMSELF ON EVE!!

TC repeatedly asked Eve if she was “okay” or if she had wanted to see a doctor, but she refused. He then wanted to see Julian, so he could rip him apart for hurting his wife! Eve pleaded for him not to go down to the police station, and told him that Sam would handle it, but TC wasn’t having that.

“NO, EVE! I will not allow for him to get away with this, and I don’t care if he IS a Crane! I am going to teach him not to mess with anyone I love!” TC said right before he stormed out of the house.

Eve soon followed and jumped into the passenger’s side before TC could back out.

Once they got to the station, TC made his way to the back where the cells were, while Eve stayed up front. Her eyes turned when she saw Sam coming out of a room.

“Eve? What are you doing here? We’ve got this under control. What you should do is go to the hospital and be examined,” he placed a hand on her back and tried to steer her towards the door, but Eve had her feet planted; she was not going anywhere.

“No, Sam!” she shook his arm off of her, “Where is Julian…I have to…”

Her words trailed off as she watched Sam turn back towards the room he had come out of. The words “Interrogation Room” were written on the door.

“…is Julian in there, Sam?” she questioned him.

“Yes, he is, but Eve…like I said, you shouldn’t be here…”

“I want to speak to him, Sam…now,” she said firmly.

“Eve…” he began shaking his head.

“NOW!”

“Alright, but there will be a guard inside, just in case…”

“No!”

“Eve?!”

But he backed off when she gave him a look. Sam opened the door and Julian’s eyes widened in surprise when he saw Eve.

Eve walked in and the first thing she saw, besides Julian’s sad eyes, was the two-way mirror.

“I don’t want anyone in that room either, Sam,” she nodded towards the mirror.

“Eve, please?!” he pleaded with her, “Okay,” he sighed, “But Crane, here, keeps the cuffs on…for your safety,” he said right before he left.

Eve watched as the door shut all the way. Julian then watched as she set her purse down onto the table and then grabbed a chair and shoved it under the door knob, so that no one would be able to get in.

“Eve, what are you doing here?” he shook his head, as he stood, his hands cuffed behind him.

“You were right, Julian,” she smiled and walked up to him, “We weren’t through,” she finished and pulled him into her arms as she kissed him passionately.

“Eve,” he moaned as he pulled away, “God, darling, I want to feel you in my arms…”

She pulled from him and looked to the side as she thought. Suddenly it came to her. He watched as she reached up in her hair and pulled out a “bobby pin”. Eve grinned as she walked around Julian and stood behind him as she wiggled the weapon into the key hole. Soon, before they knew it, Julian’s wrist was free. Eve had tried to unlock the other, but Julian yanked his hand away from her and pulled her into his arms as he lifted her onto the table.

“Darling,” he kissed her soundly.

The two began undressing the other, totally unaware of anything and everything around them…even Sam and the other officer that found themselves in the other room, where they viewed the two, Eve and Julian, carrying on like there was no tomorrow. Sam’s eyes widened! He knew he had promised Eve, but being that she was his best friend’s wife, he had to make sure she was safe, so he lied to Eve about no one being behind the mirror.

Sam continued to watch as Julian entered Eve over and over again, thrusting harder and faster…and Eve…she was holding so tight onto Julian with her legs wrapped around him, kissing him all the while.

Did or had he missed something?! Since when did Eve not hate Julian’s guts?!

He blinked as Eve hopped off the table and wrapped her arms around Julian. She pulled him close to her and darted her tongue out to bathe his lips. Julian groaned! Julian was a bit more surprised as Eve shoved him up against the mirror.

Sam’s eyes then bugged out! Julian’s backside was pressed up against the glass. That wasn’t what got him so anxious. Guys were always walking around in the locker room without any clothes on after they’d shower back in high school; Sam was used to that! It was what Julian had on his right cheek! A birthmark! Sort of arrow shaped…just like little Nicky!

His mind went back to the other day when TC had been changing his son. They laughed when they saw the birthmark. TC had told him that he didn’t know where Nick got it from…and now Sam knew…

Little Nicky…Nicolas Russell was Julian and Eve’s child!

Sam cleared his throat.

“Uh, Jimmy, you know, you should go out there and make sure Mr. Russell doesn’t go anywhere near this door or the other one into the interrogation room, okay?” he advised the rookie.

“Yeah, yeah, you’re right,” he stood up and walked out, not taking his eyes off of the couple on the other side of the glass.

Sam turned back and around and found that Julian had turned Eve around so now she was facing the mirror, while he stood behind her and entered her from behind. She yelled out in pleasure. Sam then rose out of his chair as he watched Eve’s breasts bounce up and down. He suddenly felt something in his pants…something he couldn’t ignore. Julian had Eve up against the glass as he moved steadily within her; kissing her neck every so often.

Back in the other room, Sam could feel the cold beads of sweat trickle down the sides of his face.

Damn, Eve looked so good just now, he thought. He had never seen her this way before…

Suddenly he turned behind him to make sure no one was coming, and when the coast was clear, he reached down and unbuttoned his pants and reached in…

“Ohhoohho,” he groaned out as he felt a shiver run up his spine.

And just before he could get himself situated, Jimmy, the rookie, walked in without knocking, and flipped the switch.

“Whoa, boss…”

Eve opened her eyes for one split second and screamed out, causing Julian to open his! The two saw Sam watching them during their sexual encounter, and they both watched as Sam stood up, took his hand out of his pants, and attempted to button them!

Eve rushed to her clothes while Julian took his time. He was sure now that he was going to have that Sam Bennett fired!

After they had dressed, Eve spoke with Sam, totally avoiding his eyes. She threatened him to free Julian after she and TC went home, and if he didn’t, then she would tell TC just what she saw him doing…and Grace!

Sam looked down and nodded.

TC and Eve arrived at home, and while Eve was just about to go upstairs, she turned to see where TC was off to.

“Honey, where are you going?”

“Nowhere, I just need to be alone, Eve,” he kept walking, “I’ll, I’ll just be in the shed…” he said over his shoulder and left through the kitchen door.

She sighed and went upstairs to check the children, then to bed.

Back outside, TC made his way into the shed and once inside, he walked up to the work table and swept everything off. He was ANGRY! Angry that his wife was almost raped by that miserable CRANE, and he could do nothing about it, and angry that nothing went well this weekend!

He got in his dad’s old car and took a drive.

Feeling that Eve and the children would be safe, since Julian was locked up, TC decided to take his dad’s old 1965 Ford Mustang for a drive to Boston and then back, to cool off. But…there was just something about the car that TC didn’t know…until it was too late.

The car began sputtering and began slowing down until it stopped completely.

“What the…” TC said as he hit the steering wheel and turned the key in the ignition.

But…nothing. The car wouldn’t start.

“I just had this car fixed; there’s even gas…” he looked to the gage.

The needle was pointing to the “F”, but soon dropped to the “E”. Tc then looked to the side…

“Wait a minute…I never filled the car up after I was through working on it,” he said to himself as he shook his head.

He began to get a strange feeling. How did the car drive all the way here without any gas?!

Tc jumped out of the car in fear, not knowing if the car was possessed or what! He would just leave it here and catch a ride home, but first he was going to find a telephone and call Eve to tell her he was alright…

“Damn, where did all this fog come from?” he looked ahead of him.

He shrugged and kept walking on.

“They sure did change Boston from the last time I visited here…that’s weird.”

As he continued walking, he noticed how the buildings looked the same, but actually looked brand new, if that made sense. Hearing loud jazz music coming from his right, Tc turned in the direction it was coming from and read the sign on the outside of the building.

“‘The Blue Note’?” he shrugged, “They’re bound to have a phone in there; I’ll just call Eve from here and then find a cab home…”

Right when he walked in, he noticed everyone’s attire. The whole club was hazy and everyone was dressed as if they were living back in the seventies!

“What can I get for you, my man?” the bartender asked in his deep voice.

Tc turned to look at him.

“Uh, nothing for me…do you have a phone I could use, I left my cell phone at home…”

“‘Cell phone’?” The bartender raised a brow and stared at TC confused, “You can use this phone,” he reached under the bar and placed the phone on the bar, “Just make it quick…”

“Yeah, okay,” TC said and rolled his eyes.

Who was this dumb a**, acting like he didn’t know what a cell phone was? And damn, couldn’t he afford a new phone; this one was so damn slow, having to wait for the wheel to get back to its spot on this Rotary phone! Finally he was finished dialing.

“What? Eve, baby? The wrong number?” TC looked at the receiver when the person on the other end hung up on him, “Hey, Mister,” he called out, “Looks like I’m going to have a drink!”

That was the second strange thing that had happened to him that night!

TC began tapping on the bar with his fingers when he turned around and saw JULIAN CRANE!

HOW THE HELL WAS HE HERE, WHEN HE SHOULD’VE BEEN LOCKED UP?!!

Wait, what happened to him? He looked…fifteen, twenty years YOUNGER!

He continued to watch him as Julian never took his eyes off the young lady on the stage…and just when TC was about to take a look at that lady, the bartender placed his glass down in front of him causing him to turned forward again, away from the stage…

“Hey, thanks, man,” TC nodded and turned his body around and looked to Julian again, and then his eyes traveled back to the stage...
