The End Result

I am taking this fan fiction from the dramatic events with Evian recently where Eve had turned Julian down to go to Paris and he ended up in the snow, no thanks to T.C. and his temper. Rebecca had warned Julian not to get caught with Eve and T.C. had walked away being the bastard he was still wanting a shot at Julian. Eve knew T.C. was fuming, he had caught her just at the time that Julian was trying to drag her away with him. Eve looked at her husband, knowing just how crazy T.C. got just at the mere mention of Julian’s name. She was in shock over all of the sudden events, not to mention the fact that she thought Julian was dead. She had walked away, but she knew that she had to see Julian; they couldn’t end things like they did. T.C. was rambling on about him to Liz, but she didn’t care to hear about the nasty things he was saying. T.C. had a right to want to protect his wife, but when she thought Julian was really dead, she was beyond herself. As he continued on about him, she turned around to go back into the Blue Note.

“Where are you going?” T.C. said surprised.

“I, uh…”

But she was at a loss for words.

“Don’t you go back in there, Julian is probably still hanging about and I don’t want him to lay a hand on you.” He said, with fury in his eyes.

“I will be fine T.C.”

She wanted to go back in so badly to find him, but what excuse could she really use? This was such a dramatic evening, which almost certainly turned tragic, thanks to her husband.

“You are staying here, I mean it!” he yelled.

“I want to go and check on Whitney.”

Those were the only words she could come with and Liz just glared at her.

“Eve, I thought you hated Whitney singing, so why would you want to go and check on her?” Liz said curiously.

“Yeah sweetheart, you didn’t see the first set, so why go now?”

“She…she is my daughter, maybe I should give her a chance.” Eve said looking downwards.

Eve was so upset, she couldn’t even think of the right words to say, all she had was Julian on her mind.

“Well let’s go in together and support her then, it might take my mind off that idiot.” T.C. said.

“No!” Eve yelled.

“What’s the matter sweetheart, what’s going on?”

She could see T.C. wasn’t going to let up.

“T.C., just stay out here for a while, take some deep breaths, I don’t want you to get into another fight and that might happen if you back inside.”

“Eve’s right, stay out here T.C., I will be here for you.” Liz said touching his shoulder and smiling at Eve.

Eve stared at her husband for a moment, and she suddenly felt a chill. She had goose bumps on her arms and she rubbed them. When she was with Julian back in the alley, it didn’t matter how long she had been out there, he kept her warm. She took a deep breath and headed back into the club, Whitney and Chad were not there, she figured they must have been preparing for the set. As Eve walked, she was startled when she felt a hand on her shoulder; She turned around quickly to see Sam.

“Eve, you look quiet shaken, are you alright?” he said sympathetically.

“I’m fine Sam.”

“Are you sure that you don’t want me to lock Julian up?”

“No it’s fine, he was drinking and sometimes things happen.” Eve said sadly.

“Yes they do, well, as long as you are okay. I’m sorry T.C. lost control as well, he really must keep his temper in check.”

“I know Sam, he just hates Julian so much.”

“Of course, but if he had killed him, well…you know.”

“I know Sam, I am fine, but thanks for asking.”

“Anytime Eve, I know Grace and I aren’t exactly on the best terms, but I have always thought of you as a great friend. If you need an ear, you know where I am.”

Eve squeezed his hand and smiled and gazed around the club, looking for Julian, but he was nowhere to be found.

“You know, he is my husband Eve, and he obviously cares for you deeply.”

She turned around to see Rebecca.

“I know he’s your husband.”

“Anyway, you keep T.C. in line, I can’t have him killing my Pookie, I don’t want to be a widow already. And if you are looking for him, I think he’s still kicking around.”

“I’m not looking for him.” Eve said firmly.

“Yeah sure, deny it all you want, anyway, I am off to talk to Gwen.”

Eve couldn’t believe how she was acting. It was like Rebecca was almost accepting that Julian had been spending time with her. But she didn’t care about that; she only wanted to find Julian. Eve opened the back of the club door and she saw him standing there, his tuxedo rather rumpled from T.C.’s rage and a drink in his hand, staring at the ground.

“Julian?”

He looked up to see her, an astonished expression on his face. He hadn’t expected to see her again that night, he wasn’t sure she would ever want to see him again.

“Eve.”

She walked over to him and stared at him, his mouth still bleeding a bit from where T.C. had punched him. She looked into his eyes and she could see the hurt in them. He didn’t say anything to her; it was very awkward after what had happened. Julian couldn’t even bring himself to get closer to her, to pull her into his arms. He was afraid to touch her, hating how he had acted before T.C. had come outside to break them up. Eve looked at his hand and touched her fingers to his, but he pulled away. She could see he was quite rigid, so she didn’t try again.

“Julian I..”

“I think maybe you should go back inside.” He said unable to look at her.

“Why?”

“Because I don’t want T.C. to catch you out here with me again, I can’t take another beating.” He said frowning.

“He’s with Liz.”

“That’s not good, if either of them catch us, I don’t know Eve, as I said you better go.”

“Julian, talk to me, we can’t leave things like this.”

“This is not a good time Eve.”

“Please Julian.” She said, tears forming in her eyes.

Julian sighed, he gazed at her, and he knew they shouldn’t be out there together, but he hated to see her cry.

“Okay, but, we will have to go somewhere, we can’t stand here.”

She looked at him curiously, wondering what he had in mind.

“You can trust me, I am not going to scare you again or try anything, and we need to talk about that too. Let’s just go and sit in my car for a bit if you want to talk.” He said sadly.

She agreed and Julian looked around the alley before leaving with her. When they arrived at his car, she watched him as he unlocked the passenger door before going around to the driver’s side. She sat down next to him and Julian started it up.
