The Fall Of Temptation; Chapter 2 (Evian)
by ejcrane

Saturday came, and Julian was getting ready for the fundraiser that Eve had told him about. He decided to wear blue jeans and a white cotton Ralph Lauren polo shirt.

Julian pulled up into the church parking lot. He opened the door, stepped out, and as he walked away he pressed the little button on his keypad and locked his car doors. Julian pulled the glass door open and walked into the church.

“Uh, excuse me, miss,” he tapped a lady on her shoulder, “Do you know where I can find, um…Eve?”

“Yes, she’s in the back, over in the gym where everyone is setting up the booths,” the lady pointed behind her in the direction of the gymnasium.

“Thank you very much,” he smiled and was on his way.

Julian walked into the gym and found Eve next to a booth where they were selling snow cones. He smiled. She looked even more beautiful than the last Sunday he saw her. Eve was giving instructions to this other lady on where to set up the face painting booth.

“Hello, Eve…” Julian grinned.

“Ohh,” she gasped, “Hi! You made it.”

“Yes, I wouldn’t have missed it for the world,” his eyes never left her, “So,” he looked around, “What can I do?”

She sighed as she looked around.

“Well, everything looks pretty much taken care of, but you can help me with the snow cones, unless you wanted to walk around and get to know everyone from church.”

“I came to help out, so I would be more than happy to help you; I can always take a look around afterwards,” he shrugged.

“Great!” Eve touched his arm.

Julian’s heart skipped a beat at the feel of her hands on him. He looked to her and paid close attention as she taught him how to use the snow cone machine. It had been over an hour and Julian and Eve had to have served over one hundred snow cones to the kids and adults.

“You know,” he wiped off the syrup from his hands, “I think I’m going to go and get a drink and I’ll be back,” he threw the rag down, “Can I bring you back anything?”

“Yes, please…um, just a bag of popcorn and a soda, thank you.”

The little space where they were working was so confined that when Julian attempted to walk to the other concessions, his body rubbed against Eve’s. Julian was stepping to the side behind her and his front side, manhood to be exact, rubbed up against Eve’s backside.

“Sorry,” he placed a hand on both of her arms, “Excuse me,” Julian said as he felt her so close.

She swallowed when she felt him, but went on as if nothing happened. Julian made his way across the floor to the other side and got the snacks that Eve wanted.

Eve then took a break and was waiting for Julian to come back, when one of her friends came and chatted with her. She mentioned to Eve that she found Julian attractive and felt like getting to know him better. Eve just laughed and encouraged her to do so. So, Olivia walked away from Eve and found Julian. Eve watched her friend talk to Julian from afar. She smiled. She hoped that maybe Olivia would find happiness someday, since she’d been in bad relationships.

Julian made his way back with her popcorn and beverage when Eve spoke.

“I think she likes you,” she teased.

“Huh? Who?” he sipped his coke.

“Olivia…”

“Ohh,” he smacked his lips, “Well, I have my eyes set on someone else,” he smiled at her.

“Oh really? Ooh, tell me who she is, maybe I can put in a good word for you…”

“It just happens that you already know…”

“Hi, honey,” Tc came out from nowhere and kissed Eve, “I’m sorry I’m late.”

“It’s okay, sweetie; I’m just glad you made it,” Eve hugged him back as Julian watched…watched and wished it were him that Eve was hugging, “Tc, have you met Julian Crane?”

“No, I don’t think I have,” Tc shook his head, “It’s nice to meet you; I remember seeing you last Sunday. I’m glad you could come,” he stuck out his hand, “By the way, I’m Tc Russell.”

“Julian,” Julian said and shook Tc’s hand, “It’s nice to meet you,” he smiled.

She’s married to the pastor?!

“Well, baby, I’m going to go check out the rest of the booths,” he looked around, “Better make sure no one’s watching; you know how they get,” he laughed right before he pulled Eve into his arms and kissed her.

Tc’s tongue parted Eve’s lips just enough to slip inside to sample the certain taste that only Eve possessed.

“Mmm, root beer,” he licked his lips and laughed, “I’ll see you later,” and with that he left.

Eve’s cheeks were a rosy pink when she turned to face Julian.

“I’m sorry; he’s so silly,” she giggled.

Julian just smiled and nodded.

Eve stopped laughing and looked to Julian with concern.

“Is something the matter, Julian? Do you feel alright?”

“Yes, I-uh…I was just thinking about work,” he waved a hand, “Don’t worry about me,” Julian patted her shoulder.
---

Julian got home that night disappointed. The woman he was crazy about was married. Married to a pastor, for that matter; a man of God. Although Julian wasn’t religious as he was pretending to be; he just couldn’t go and wreck a marriage. He wouldn’t do it. But Eve did seem to be a nice person. He would just stay friends with her. Yeah, that’s what he was going to do…
---

Weeks passed and there was another activity at church that Julian was involved in. He had seen Eve, but today she had her eye glasses on, and as Julian passed her, he made a comment.

“You look so good in glasses,” he smiled and walked passed her.

Eve smiled and stared after Julian. And from then on, Eve found herself wearing her prescription eye glasses a lot more.
---

More weeks had gone by and Julian did just as he had planned. He was becoming good friends with Eve and he even kept going to church, something that surprised him more. Julian even took what Tc preached every Sunday morning and Wednesday evening to heart. It had felt good to get closer to God; to finally have beliefs that made sense.
---

Julian stepped onto the elevator at the hospital, when he found Eve inside.

“Eve, hi!” he greeted her.

“Hey, how are you?”

“I’m good, you?”

“I’m fine, just at work,” she rolled her eyes and laughed.

Julian loved the way she laughed. Julian loved the way she did everything.

“So, what brings you by?” she asked.

“The board meeting, but they canceled it.”

“Ohh, yeah…I heard that.” She then snapped her fingers, “Oh, I wanted to show you something, but it’s in my office. You don’t have any time, do you?”

“Uh, sure,” he shrugged and followed Eve off the elevator to her office.

She unlocked the door and entered and switched the lights on.

“What is it?”

“This,” she held out a piece of paper with a phone number on it, “I promised Olivia that I would give you this; she really wants to get to know you better.”

“Oh, thank you,” Julian took the paper, “I suppose I could give her a call,” he then looked to Eve and then placed his cup of water on her desk, “How about now?!” he smiled that beautiful smile Eve had come to know; to love…

“Okay, I’ll give you some privacy,” she began walking out as he pulled his cell phone from his pocket.

“No,” he grabbed her arm, “I want you here with me, to give me advice…please,” he patted the seat next to him which was in front of her desk.

“Are you sure?”

“Positive.”

“Okay, you won’t hear a peep out of me,” she pretended to zip her lips, which made Julian laugh.

Julian talked to Olivia and made arrangements for a date they would be having the next weekend. He then said his goodbyes and disconnected the call, but as he pulled his arm off of her desk, his elbow made contact with the foam cup on her desk and sent it tumbling onto the floor while its contents fell onto Eve’s legs.

She yelped at the cold water that slid down her legs and attempted to get up, but Julian prevented her from doing so.

“Oh, let me get that; it’s all my fault,” he pulled his handkerchief from his left pocket on his suit jacket.

Julian then began wiping the water off her legs. One hand rested on her calf, as the other soaked up the water with the cloth. Her skin was silky smooth he noticed. His senses were now lost as he felt her skin. The skin of the woman he’d been longing for, for forever. She felt his hand on her calf, and she felt him squeeze it. Julian then did something he and Eve least expected. He placed a kiss on her knee as his hand ran up the inside of her leg.

Eve just watched as he glided his hand up her leg, she watched Julian watching her. He didn’t stop as his hand made it to the bottom of her skirt. Eve’s heart began racing as she saw his hand disappear underneath her skirt. She could feel his warm hands on her thigh, just inching upward. Eve gasped when she felt Julian’s hand on the cloth of her underwear. The room began spinning. Her eyes widened, then closed as she felt him within her. Eve was shocked; she didn’t know what to do. She didn’t know if she even wanted to do anything about it, until common sense kicked in, and Eve slid the chair back, causing Julian’s hand to withdraw from under her skirt, but really, from within her. She stood and stared down at him as her chest rose and fell.

“Eve,” Julian said as he stood from being on his knees, “I-I-I don’t know what came over me…I’m sorry; it will never, NEVER happen again. I promise,” he pleaded to her.

“Julian…go, just go,” she whispered as she turned her back to him.

“Eve, I’m sor…”

“Please, Julian, just please go,” she walked over to the restroom that was in her office and closed the door behind her.

Julian could’ve kicked himself for what he did. He regretted it so much, or did he? What he regretted was making Eve feel uncomfortable, for he loved that he got the chance to touch her…probably his last chance.

As for Eve, she didn’t know what to think. Never had anyone touched her that way before, not even Tc, well, not exactly that way; never had anyone brought out those feelings that she was feeling at the moment…feelings of being desired and actually desiring. It kept replaying over and over in her head. Julian’s hand sliding up her leg, and all she did was watch him. She just watched him when she could’ve prevented everything, but did she want him to stop? No. She never stopped him and she hoped he never stopped what he had been doing, because it would’ve given her a chance to pull back before she ever felt his touch

Eve sat on the toilet and debated with herself whether she should tell Tc or just forget about it. She had never kept anything from him, but if she kept this from him and then later on in the future he’d find out; he’d be upset with her. Any husband would.
