Forgiven, Chapter 7 - Final Chapter

Eve got to the top of the stairs and was about to enter a room, but was caught off guard when Olivia came from behind and hit her on the back with an umbrella. Eve fell to her knees, and then Olivia swatted the back of Eve’s head and sent her flying forward.

“Take me out to the ball game. Take me out to the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks. I don't care if I ever get back and it's root, root, root for the home team. If they don't win, it's a shame, cause it's one, two…” she poked Eve with the tip of the umbrella, “…three strikes you're out at the old ball game,” she skipped around Eve to one of the end tables upstairs and pulled out a rope.

She then walked lazily back to Eve and began tying her up.

“You should’ve known, Eve,” Olivia sneered, “I’m not going to let some b*tch just come up into my house…MY house and get crunk on my a**.” She pulled Eve’s head up by her hair, “You just had to have Tc, huh?”

Eve began moaning as she was coming to. She could barely make out what Olivia was telling her. Did she hear something about Tc?

“You knew Tc and I had something going on, and you just had to go and stick your damn nose in our business…then the next thing, you two were married. I was happy for the two of you, I really was, but then when Julian came along, humph, you just had to have him too, huh? Tc wasn’t enough for you, so you f***ed both him and Julian at the same time,” she turned her back to Eve to grab something.

And that’s when Eve sat up and registered everything Olivia had just told her. Olivia and Tc had something going on? If that was true, she didn’t know anything about it, but what Olivia did to get revenge was just going too damn far.

Olivia was kneeling, reaching for something, when Eve kidney punched her causing Olivia to fall to her side in pain. Eve then untied her feet.

“I did not steal Julian from you. What happened between Julian and me was unexpected.” Eve said as she stood up.

Grabbing onto the banister to stand up, Olivia lost her balance and fell back and rolled down the stairs. Eve stumbled to the top of the stairs and stared down at Olivia’s prone body.

“Oh my goodness!” Eve ran down the stairs and bent over Olivia.

She began to check her vitals, but was caught off guard by Olivia’s hand.

“You really thought it would be that easy to get rid of me, sl*t?” her hand went to Eve’s neck.

Eve tried to yank Olivia’s hand from her neck, but it wasn’t easy as Olivia’s grip increased and then when she used her other hand to choke Eve; Eve was just too helpless. Olivia then brought Eve down and climbed on top of her as she still held onto her neck.

“Die, Eve, die!” she banged her head against the floor, “If this is the only way to get rid of you, then DIE!”

Eve’s face was turning red as she gaped for air. She could feel the life from her just slipping away. Wanting to get something off her chest just before she died, Eve made a confession.

“Julian and I made love in your shower for the first time,” she attempted to laugh, but coughed instead.

Olivia’s eyes widened.

“You two WHAT?!” she stared down at Eve.

Eve grinned.

“He wanted me and ONLY me. He screamed MY name out over and over.”

Olivia backhanded Eve and continued to choke her.

“LIAR!”

Just then Julian shoved the door open and rammed into Olivia. The both of them fell back onto the floor as she tried to poke his eyes with her thumbs. Julian screamed out in pain as two cops came behind him and pulled him off of her.

“Thank God you came in time,” she praised Sam Bennett, chief of police, “Arrest them officer…”

“Olivia Jacobs, you have the right to remain silent…” Sam read her her rights while he arrested her.

“Eve, Eve, are you alright, darling?” Julian picked Eve up off the floor and cradled her in his arms.

“Julian,” she gasped for air, “How did you know I was here,” she grabbed a hold of him.

“Shh, Eve,” he rocked her back and forth, “They informed me that you had taken the Crane Jet and then Dr. Waters informed me about Olivia, so I rushed over here from LA.” He brushed his hand through her hair.

“Oh Julian,” she hugged him tighter, “Jordan! What about Jordan?!”

“She’s safe, Eve. She’s still in LA with Mrs. Matthews…”
---

Two months later Eve, Julian, and Jordan were now living in Harmony and were the family they had always dreamed to be. Now they were in church, and Eve was about to sing a special.

“Jord, shh,” Julian raised his index finger to his mouth as Eve sang.

“I will give, you all my worship. I will give, you all my praise. You alone, I long to worship. You alone, are worthy of my praise,” Eve smiled to the audience.

She looked to Julian and to Jordan and smiled as Julian smiled back at her. They had come so far and now they were together.

Eve moved her eyes from her family and looked to someone else who had their eye on her. It was some new visitor; someone she had never seen before. With the way he smiled at her as she sang, she could tell he seemed to have a kind heart. Before Eve could finish, Julian had to take Jordan back to the nursery because she was acting up. He never got to go back to the front because Jordan wouldn’t let him.

Church ended and everyone was gathering in the fellowship hall for the Fourth of July celebration. Julian walked in and found Eve standing on the other side of the room. He was about to walk to her when he noticed some man looking at Eve as if he were undressing her with her eyes. Julian was now glaring at the man. He walked up behind the man who seemed to be rehearsing the line he was about to feed Eve.

“Hi, Eve? Hi, I’m Adam, it’s a pleasure to meet you,” Adam cleared his throat and began again, “Hello, I’m Adam, and you are…”

“Hey, how are you doing? I see you have your eye set on someone already,” he faked a smile.

“Oh,” Adam said and then laughed, “She’s something,” he looked back to Eve.

Julian’s blood began to boil.

“Yeah, she is. Wouldn’t you love to just get her in a room by herself and do whatever you wanted with her…”

“Oh boy, would I,” he grinned mischievously.

“Yeah, well, you do that and I’ll kill you,” Julian threatened him and then took a step towards Eve, “Oh, wait,” he turned back towards that man, “That’s one of the commandments…just remember ‘thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife’,” Julian smiled, “It was nice to meet you, but I can see that my wife is looking for me,” he walked off.

“Hello, Julian,” Sandra said with a seductive voice as she now stood in front of Julian.

“Hello, Miss Smith,” he looked her up and down; Sandra Smith wasn’t bad looking he thought.

Eve turned her head and noticed how Sandra had her hands on Julian’s tie, and how she was laughing about nothing, which only meant that she was flirting with her husband. She also noticed how her husband didn’t seem to mind the attention of “Miss Sandra”; he was actually looking at her differently. Eve got off the phone and then marched up to Julian and Sandra.

“Thank you, Sandra, for keeping my husband company, but that will be all,” she grabbed Julian’s hand and pulled him away from Sandra.

“Well, I never…” Sandra could be heard saying as they walked away.

“Darling, why what’s the matter,” he grinned.

“Oh don’t give me that,” she pushed on his chest, “I saw the way you looked at her.”

“Eve, she is attractive, but there’s only one for me…and that’s you,” he pulled her into an embrace, “Besides, I’m not the only one that has an admirer,” he rolled his eyes.

“What? What are you talking about?”

“Mr. Adam over there fancies you…” Julian nodded back towards Adam, “There might have been Adam and Eve in the beginning, but there sure won’t be any now.”

“Oh Julian, don’t be silly,” she swatted at him.

“Oh, but I’m not; he said that he wanted to get you in a room and do whatever he wants to you.”

“Oh my…” she began to get frightened.

“Don’t worry, dear, I told him I’d kill him,” he smiled and pulled her close.

“Julian? Dr. Gomez called me back.”

“He did? And what did he say? Is it bad?!”

“No,” she smiled as she shook her head, “It’s good…I’m pregnant!” she laughed.

“You’re what?!” his eyes lit up, “We’re going to have another baby?!”

“Yes! YES!” she continued to laugh.

Julian knelt down and pressed a kiss to Eve’s lower abdomen as his hands rested on her backside.

“Julian,” she warned him as she tried to move his hands from her behind, “That’s not appropriate,” she scolded him.

“You’re my wife, and I want to hold you…there,” he grinned as he winked his eye.
---

After church, Julian dropped off Eve and Jordan at home while he went into the office for some file he left there.
---

“Hello, Julian,” Olivia ran into his arms.

Apparently, Julian went to the psychiatric ward to visit Olivia.

“I’ve missed you, darling,” he pulled from her and then leaned in to capture her lips.

“Oh Julian, I knew you loved me…it was me all along, right?” she moaned against his mouth.

“You know it was you. That’s why I’ve come…I want to take you home with me. Eve and that little half-breed brat can go to hell for all I care; it’s you I want, Olivia,” Julian hugged her.

“Oh, Julian…Julian!” she smiled as she hugged him back.

The psychiatrist that was viewing into Olivia Jacobs’ room was quite disturbed. It seemed that Olivia’s condition had gotten worse, for now she was imagining people…
