~*Prescription For Love*~
*~Chapter Two~*

"I forgot my handcuffs at home to handcuff you" Luis kidded as he escorted Sheridan to the table he had set up.

"They wouldn't do any good since I lost the key the last time we used them." Sheridan laughed as she recalled the last time they used his handcuffs.

"You remember that still?"

"Of course I remember, it's the time we first met, and I called you buster. Little did you know after you released me, I took those handcuff keys and had them framed."

"You had them framed?" Luis asked he left the room to get the first part of their meal.

"Well yes…I just knew then that I would have the key to your heart." Sheridan admitted as she sipped her red wine as Luis began to return.

"I never knew that…At least I learned something new." Luis replied as he laid the salad before Sheridan.

Sheridan looked down at the salad of mixed greens and drizzled with a light homemade vinaigrette, and looked back up at Luis. He was already digging into his salad, and she hadn't even touched hers. Sighing, she finally dug in before Luis could bring out the next course. She was nearly done when a tear trickled down her face, then another, yet Luis wasn't there to notice at first.

Luis reappeared with the second dish of roast chicken and mashed potatoes with some gravy as well as some steamed vegetables when he noticed Sheridan's tears. He put the plates down on the table, and looked Sheridan directly in her eyes.

"You all right?" He asked.

"I'm fine. Really, I am. I just had something in my eye."

"Sheridan, whenever you cry, something isn't right." Luis responded grabbing his handkerchief and wiping her tears, and then holding her hands in his.

"It's just that…I don't know how to explain it…"

"Sheridan, look inside your heart, and have it speak for you then."

Sheridan took a deep breath, and then began talking, "It's just that I sense that I may lose you all over again. I am so scared that something is going to happen to me…and us…"

"Sheridan, it's never going to happen. I'm here to protect you, no matter what. Remember our song…of 'You'll Be In My Heart' from Tarzan…that's our song…and I'll always protect you…no matter what…I love you." Luis responded and pulled Sheridan into a hug.

Liz was outside having some hot chocolate when Antonio arrived to visit her. She knew that he was coming, but ever since he had married Sheridan, their relationship with each other had become strained. Liz didn't feel like talking to him; she gave her heart to him, yet he pushed it away for Diana who turned out to be Sheridan Crane.

"Liz, thank god I found you." Antonio said to her.

"Is that supposed to be a good thing or bad thing?" She responded without looking up.

"Liz…come on…cut me some slack here, please? It's about Sheridan. She is your friend you know…"

"Yeah, I know, but why bother?"

"I have given her up…."

"To Luis?"

"Something like that…"

"Brian…I mean Antonio, you can tell me."

"I will, but first I must confess something…"

"What is it?"

"That I still love you. I realize that now, more than ever…Especially after giving up Sheridan. I realize that you taught me how to love differently, and I gave up on it too soon…"

Julian walked outside in the cold winter air towards his car. He didn't want to use his chauffeur tonight to visit Eve at the hospital. He didn't want to go on official business. He had found something out about their son, and he had to tell her - tonight.

The frigid air wasn't help helping him much to clear his mind of Eve, it only made him want her even more than ever. He glanced over at Sheridan's cottage as he drove off and noticed how Sheridan was with Luis inside, and thought, "That's what I once had, Sheridan lost it more than once because of father, and he's done it to me. And it's about time it stops."

He drove carefully towards the hospital, and tried to focus on the road. He didn't want to get there too quickly because of the threat of being caught by somebody like Rebecca or TC; and didn't want to get there too slow either because Eve had her shifts to do. As he pulled up to the hospital, he put on his long trench coat on and sunglasses so he wouldn't be noticed. He parked in the lot, and entered the hospital towards Eve's workstation.

He saw she was there, and hid against a nearby wall, and picked up the courtesy phone to page Eve using his voice muffler.

"Will Dr. Russell please go to her office to receive an urgent phone call." Julian said as professionally as he could and hung it up.

He stifled a laugh, and proceeded towards Eve's office and hide until she arrived. A few minutes past before Eve arrived, and Julian was right behind the door when she arrived. She proceeded to close her door without taking notice to Julian before heading towards her phone, when a hand grabbed her mouth before she could even scream, and gagged her with piece of cloth before turning her towards him.

He spoke gently into her ear and said, "Now if you promise not to scream, I'll undo your gag, so you so I can kiss you like there's no tomorrow. Promise me Eve."

Eve shook her head in confusion, but proceeded to shake her head yes. She missed Julian, and needed some cheering up; afterall, she spent all day wondering if Julian found more information about their child.

He pulled off the gag slowly and pulled her towards him, "Oh Eve, I've been wanting to do this all day" and then pulled her into a passionate kiss. Eve didn't want to stop him at all; she wanted the moment to last forever.

Eve broke free for a moment, and looked at Julian and his disguise, and laughed while asking, "So it was you who paged for me. You sneaky little devil you, no wonder I love you so much."

"Shhh… Patience Dr. Russell, this patient isn't done with his examination yet.", he replied as he pulled her back into their kiss.
