The next morning, Max walked into the Russell's kitchen. "No one is up yet," Max thought.
"Or so you think." Max turned around to see Simone and smiled.

"Hi Max, hi Simone," John said. John was soon followed by Whitney.

"Everyone sure is up early," Whitney commented, noticing that it was only six thirty.

"I sure hope daddy is in a better mood today," Simone said nervously.

     "Me too," John said.

"Hey, I have an idea." Max said. "We don't we all Eve and TC breakfast?"

"Oh, if that doesn't work, I don't know what will!" Simone said.

"That's actually not a bad idea, they've both been stressed out lately," Whitney said. The kids all started to fix breakfast. Upstairs, Eve and TC woke up.

"Eve, do you hear something downstairs?" TC asked.

"Yeah," Eve said. "At least it woke me up from that awful nightmare I was having."

"You had one too?" TC asked.

"What was yours about?" Eve asked. "Mine was about my past catching up to me."

"My nightmare made me realize that I really do need to lighten up on you and the kids." TC said.

"What was yours about?" Eve asked.

"I kept throwing your past with Julian in your face, you reminded me of everything I did when I was in that witness protection program last year, I kept throwing your past in your face- I actually accused you of being jealous of Rebecca for being married to Julian when you said that you left him to give our marraige a second chance and that you realized that Simone ran away and got into that whole mess last year when she overheard you and Julian talking about the what if fog." Eve flashed back to last night at the Bennette's party and remembered telling Julian and Rebecca that they were there to cause trouble when they heard that Theresa was alive and accused her of kidnapping Allan Crane. Eve realized in dread that TC was right.

"Do I still have unresolved feelings for Julian?" Eve thought. Eve pictured a huge red stop sign in her head to block the thought. "Eve, stop, you have to work out your marraige, and think about the well being of your daughters." Eve remembered Whitney calling her a stranger last year after Theresa's welcome home party for Antonio and Sheridan when the truth had came out. "If I let anything happen to ruin my marraige, my daughters would never trust me again." Eve thought. Eve smiled at TC.

"I really do need to work on my temper." TC said. "I hate David with a passion, but I thought it was disturbing when I was still trying to punch him even though my fists went right through him and he kept telling me it wouldn't make him go away, and then I kept throwing your past with the damned Cranes in your face when you said that you didn't know how you could trust me when I kept saying that I would never be able to trust anyone who had a past with somoene like Julian-" TC said.

"You know what?" Eve asked with a smile. "The Cranes are the damned Cranes, end of story, lets go downstairs and see what those kids of ours are up to." Eve said.

"Sounds like a good idea," TC said. "Yeah, who needs to worry about the Cranes when we can go have breakfast with our family?"

"TC, please think about what I said about giving Max and John a chance," Eve said. "Simone seems really happy with him."

The next morning, Gwen woke up.

"Where am I?" Gwen asked. Her head was pounding.

"You're finally awake," A voice said. Gwen sat up and looked over the back of the sofa she had been sleeping on to see Antonio Lopez-Fitzgerald.

"What am I doing here?" Gwen asked.

"Don't you remember?" Antonio asked. "You got upset about losing Ethan last night, I was upset about losing Sheridan to Luis, we went out for a drink and Hank dropped us off back here because neither one of us was in the condition to drive home." Gwen sighed in annoyance.

"What is Hank up to this time? All we had to do was drop me off at the mansion, Hank just can't seem to stay out of other people's problems lately, can he?" Gwen asked. Gwen paused for a second. "Actually, it's probably a good thing that Hank dropped me off here because I would have gotten one long lecture from mother, and that's just not what I need right now. I've lost Ethan, and she's just going to have to accept that I'm not going to manipulate him into taking me back." Gwen rememebered Theresa bragging about the 'what if' vision she had with Ethan dying when he was older and telling Theresa that he only wanted her there by his side.

"Antonio, I just got done fixing breakfast," Theresa said. Theresa frowned when she noticed that Gwen was on the sofa. "What are you doing here?"

"It's ok, Theresa. I'm the reason that Gwen is here." Antonio said. "I'll explain everything later. Theresa panicked when Allan started crying in the attick.

"Oh no," Theresa thought. "If Gwen finds out that I kidnapped Allan, I'm dead."

"Theresa, I think Ethan Martin is crying," Antonio said.

"Yeah, Ethan Martin," Theresa said, mentally thanking Antonio. "I'd better go check on him." Theresa went into the attic and gave Allan a bottle. "You'd better stop crying, or Gwen is going to figure out that her brother is up here, then Julian and Rebecca will strangle me and I'll never get Ethan back," Theresa said in baby talk. "We wouldn't want that, would we, Allan?" Theresa asked. After giving him a bottle, Allan eventually stopped fussing. "I'm glad we understand each other now, don't we?" Allan looked at Theresa in confusion. "Gwen would go running to Rebecca and have her attack me for getting Ethan back if she found out that I was the one who kidnapped Allan." Theresa remembered hearing Ivy and Rebecca talking about the fake confession tape to Julian's murder when she was still in her drugged state in the coffin. "You're next, Ivy." Theresa said. "I love watching Julian and Rebecca freak out wondering where you are," Theresa said, talking baby talk to Allan. "Yes I do! Yes! Yes I do!" Allan started fussing. "I just gave you a bottle and everything else, what do you want from me?" Theresa asked. When Theresa picked Allan up, he immediately spit up on her. "You don't even know how to walk yet and you're already seeking revenge on me." Theresa said. When Theresa turned around and started to clean up her blouse, she felt a plastic object whack her in the back of the head. "Ow, that hurt!" Theresa said. Theresa looked down to see Allan's rattle on the floor by her feet. "Hey!" Theresa said. Allan squeezed his bottle and giggled when Theresa was sprayed in the face with milk. "That's not funny!" Allan continued to throw the toys that were in the crib at Theresa.

"Well, you've got Julian's manners, thats for sure." Theresa said. Allan smirked at Theresa. "And I know where you get that smug smirk from," Theresa said in annoyance. "If you're trying to annoy me into taking you home it's not happening!" Theresa said. Theresa was hit in the face by a flying rattle, followed by some high pitched giggles. "Shhhh!" Theresa hissed. Allan repeatedly sprayed Theresa in the face with his bottle until it was drained. "I can't believe I ever thought my son was Julian's, little Ethan is a little angel!" Theresa said. "I keep expecting to turn around and see that you've grown horns, black wings and a pointy tail!" Theresa said, relieved that Allan didn't have anything else to throw. Just when Theresa turned around to go downstairs, she heard the laughing again and felt Allan's bottle slam into the back of her head. "You'd better be good when I come back!" Theresa said, glaring at Allan as she left the attick. "Only Julian and Rebecca would be able to tolerate taking care of that child, he's not even a year old and he's crazier than those two! I'd hate to see the trouble he could get into when he learns how to walk!"

"I should probably be going home," Gwen said.

"Gwen, I don't think it's such a good idea to drive home just yet, you might have a hangover, besides, your car isn't even here." Antonio said. "You should stay for breakfast. I'm sure mama won't mind." Gwen really didn't want to stay in that house a second longer but knew there was no talking Antonio out of it.

"Theresa, Gwen is staying for breakfast." Antonio commented. "I hope you two can put your differences aside long enough without starting a food fight."

"If I want to do that, I can just go to the attick-" Theresa thought sarcastically. "I'm sure Gwen and I can act like civilized adults just during breakfast," Theresa said.

"Alright, but I'd better not see so much as one blueberry muffin fly across the table." Antonio said.

"Antonio, if I did anything to your sister it would be dumping that pitcher of Pilar's boiling hot cocoa on her head." Gwen thought. Antonio left the room.

"I don't know what you're up to but you better stay away from my brother." Theresa said.

"Theresa, I'm not up to anything. I just had a little too much to drink last night and Hank dropped us both off here. Antonio is just dropping me off to pick up my car and then you won't see me around here again." Gwen said.

      "I won't?" Theresa asked smugly.

"We can shake on that," Gwen confimred, too eager to get away. Gwen and Theresa shook hands. "Oh, you and Ethan deserve each other so he's all yours."

"When did you start losing so graciously?" Theresa asked.

"I don't consider it a loss," Gwen said. "I just have the self-respect not to come back to a man that can't make up his mind, I told Ethan I wanted a divorce."

"Looks like I'm going to get what I want for Christmas, and it's only Christmas Eve day!" theresa thought with a grin. "If Gwen is just handing Ethan over to me, than that means that I don't have to keep holding that little terror hostage as a barganing chip to get Ethan!" Theresa dreaded the thought of going back into that attic later.
