"She knows?" Chad asked, looking like he thought -- shocked, "How?"
"I don't know how or when she found out, but she did. And Chad, she's been trying to hurt me on purpose. Kind of make me pay for you loving me and not her."

"Your positive?" he asked, his anger rising. To think, he wanted to let her down easy.

"I heard her talking to Kay last night. It''s true. She's been plotting some sort of revenge to get me out of you heart and herself in."

"Well, she wasted a lot of time. Every second I was away from you, I wanted you a thousand times more."

"Oh, Chad." Whitney placed a hand on his cheek and smiled faintly, "She thinks you left town. I did too, until Hank told me. So since she thinks you're gone, she's just going to concentrate on getting back at me."

"Well, I'll set her straight." Chad said, standing up and walking across the apartment.

"Chad-" Whitney got out of bed and wrapped the sheet around her. "We have to be careful the way we handle this."

"Careful? Why? If she knows about how we feel about each other, then she must know that you gave me up to make her happy. And she's obviously too spoiled to even care about you!" Chad yelled, throwing his arms in the air.

"Or maybe she's that much in love with you." Whitney said, calmly, walking over to him and smiling sweetly, "Please."

"All right. We'll be careful." Chad said, unwillingly, but for Whitney. He'd do it. "Any ideas on what exactly she's going to do to you."

"I don't know, but she's real upset and angry over thinking you left tow. And I have this feeling that it could happen today."

"Why do you say that?"

"I don't know." Whitney shook her head.

"Do you have any plans for the day?"

"Umm, I -- oh, my God." Whitney suddenly started looking around frantically, "What time is it?"

Chad, calmly, looked down at his watch -- which was in full view since he was wearing a T-shirt -- "10:30" he said.

"Oh, my God." Whitney said again, looking around and gather up her scattered clothes, "I have a tennis tournament today. A big, huge tournament. And I should've been at there practicing hours ago." Whitney said, quickly getting dressed.

"Whoa, listen, Chief Bennett most likely called your parents after I talked to him."

"So they know I spent the night here? With you?" Whitney asked, frozen with fear.

"They'll probably assume that." Chad said, quietly.

"Oh, this day just keeps getting better." She said, sarcastically, as she started searching for her shirt.

"Really? I thought it started out pretty nice." Chad said, looking at the bed covered in wrinkled sheets.

"Chad-" Whitney sighed.

"Do you regret it?" Chad looked back at her, "Do you regret us making love?" Chad had a look of calmness trying to cover his fear over his face. He had been waiting for last night for his entire life and if he were to find out that, to Whitney, it didn't mean half of what it meant to him, that would put the finally nail in the coffin of the love of Chad Harris and Whitney Russell.

Whitney walked over to Chad and sighed, placing a hand on his cheek, "No, don't. I would love nothing more than to spend the day laying in that bed making love to you. But we do have things we need to do. Like talk to Simone."

"And you have a tournament to win." Chad said, encouragingly.

"Yeah," Whitney said, faintly, "We'd better get going."

"Uh, yeah, but don't you think maybe you should put a shirt on? I mean, I guarantee they'll be a lot more tennis viewers." Chad laughed.

"Oh, very funny. Actually a lot more people come to watch tennis matches than you think." Whitney said, lifting the blanket off the bad searching for her shirt again.

"Yeah, if they want to fall asleep." Chad mumbled, just loud enough for Whitney to hear.

"You just think you're so funny." Whitney said, hitting Chad playfully with the blanket. "Hey," she picked up her shirt off the bed where the blanket once laid and put it on.

"Damn." Chad muttered, making Whitney smile.

"All right. Now, let's go."

"What did you just say, young lady?" Eve said forcefully as TC looked at Simone in shock.

"Nothing that isn't a known fact. You both know -- deep down -- that your PERFECT daughter slept with Chad."

"Simone, I know that Whitney and Chad's relationship troubles you." TC said, "I've noticed you have a sort of crush on him, but that's still no excuse to talk about your sister-"

"Crush? You think I have a crush? I am an 18 year old woman. I know what I'm feeling. And it's deep, pure, passionate love. And no one can change it -- not you two, not even Chad, and definitely not Whitney." Simone grabbed a pair of jeans and a shirt and walked past TC and Eve, out the room.

Whitney walked out of the police station and sighed with relief. Thankfully the guy that had been arrested earlier that morning had been the man that had attacked her. She never thought she'd have to go through something like that. Identify a man in a police lineup. How does she get herself in these situations these days?

Chad wrapped his arms around Whitney's small waist and kissed the junction of her neck and shoulder making her smile. There's the reason right there, Whitney. Whitney thought to herself. Was she crazy? Or was it absolutely worth acting so different from normal herself -- choosing a man with her sister, missing tennis practices, slacking in her game, being attacked by an accused rapist and murderer, having sex! The old Whitney would have never gotten herself into those situations. So the question was established and finally asked Is it worth it?

All Whitney had to do was think of the night before. Chad holding her, kissing her, loving her...and the question was answered.

"What are you thinking about?" Chad asked, letting go of Whitney slightly, to get a better look at her face.

"Nothing." Whitney said, as she turned her head to face Chad, "Just how much I love you and adore you."

"Oh, you were thinking about me?" Chad said, with his playful cocky tone.

"Don't you ever just think about me?" Whitney said, jokingly. Where was this new sense of humor of hers coming from? Chad?

"Oh, Whitney, I never stop thinking about you." Chad and Whitney both leaned in and kissed softly.

"Well, well, well," Ty said, breaking Chad and Whitney apart in shock, "The irony level is definitely up today. Answer me this, Chad, who the hell do you think you are treating Simone this way?"

"Ty-" Chad started before Ty surprised him, by hitting him and sending him to the ground, also shocking and angering Whitney.

"Ty!" Everyone turned around to see Simone standing mouth opened in shock.
