Ch.12- Lady in red
 

Chad stood staring at Ethan, "Did Theresa say what was wrong with Pilar?" He questioned as Jada grabbed Kendra’s hand and the two giggling girls ran upstairs, as Matthew slept in his car seat by the couch.
"No, She seemed really worried though. " Ethan sighed.
"Well, thanks for bringing the kids over." Chad said looking down at the floor.
"Kendra would rather be with you than me." Ethan said forcing a small laugh.
"Yeah well can you blame her man?" Chad questioned.
Ethan shook his head," No, no I can’t. "
Jada came walking downstairs and stopped. "Daddy?" She called.
"I’ll be there in second baby." He said never moving his eyes away from Ethan.
"Come play with me and Kenji." She begged.
"In a second." He repeated.
"Daddy, please." The little girl pleaded.
"Jada, I’ll play whatever you want, just give daddy a little bit." He said looking over at her.
The little girl sighed. "All right then." She said pounding back up the stairs.
"Ethan, are you still interested in Resa?" Chad blurted.
"Why do you care?" Ethan replied his voice deep.
"Man, I don’t wanta see you hurt her, I watched it before, just don’t do it again." Chad informed him.
"So, you want her now huh? Is that it Chad?" Ethan questioned.
"Did I say that? I think I said don’t hurt her, that’s all." Chad said gripping his fist.
"You don’t have to worry Chad, no need for you to worry at all." Ethan said turning to go.
"You better be right about that Ethan. " Chad said slamming his door behind Ethan.

Julian tossed and turned his mind unsettled from everything that had been happening. His body cried out for sleep, but it was restless, then suddenly a fog entered his room and he bolted from the bed.

The figure before him forced his mouth to drop. "No, it can’t be, can it?" He questioned.
"Yes Julian its me."
"Sheridan?" He asked blinking his eyes.
"Brother dear, you look surprised." Sheridan smiled. She stood in a long flowing red gown, the same beautiful woman she had always been .
"What, what are you doing here? Did I die?" He questioned.
Sheridan laughed, "No, your still alive, in fact you have many years left in you yet."
"Then I’m drunk right?"
"Perfectly sober." She stated.
"That’s the problem then." He shook his head.
"Your quite the uncle now Julian, I’m very proud." Sheridan smiled.
"How, How’d you know?" He questioned.
"I see things, Kendra really loves you, and you do well with Matthew, it was a big surprise."
"I love those children." He smiled.
"I know that, Julian, everyone’s lives are changing now, including yours. Your going to have a chance at love soon Julian, don’t let it slip by." Sheridan gushed.
"Love? Me? But who is she?" He asked.
"Some things you have to learn on your on. Just keep spending time with my kids, and with Chad. He needs you Julian, He’s a strong man but he longs for a father." She sighed.
"Yes Chad, I truly love him you know." Julian told her.
"And he does you, he just doesn’t want to show it yet, but when the time is right, he will."
"Why are you telling me this? Why are you here?" He asked.
"Because I love you brother, We might not have been close but I loved you."
"And I, " Julian began choking up, "I love you too Sheridan, I do." He said.
"I know, and that’s the other reason I’m here Julian, because you needed to tell me that, you had to." She smiled. "There’s a wonderful man in you Julian, now let everyone see him."
Julian nodded, "Yes, Yes I’ll do that Sheridan I promise I will."
"I must go now Julian. " Sheridan smiled.
"Sheridan one more thing." Julian grinned.
"Yes?"
"I thought angel’s wore white? Why are you in red?"
Sheridan laughed the sound her laugh filling Julian’s heart with love. "Because red’s my color Julian, everyone knows that." She grinned.
"Oh my lady in red." He sighed.
"I love you brother."
"And I, my dear Sheridan love you." He said as she disappeared.
 

"Sheridan!" Julian yelled opening his eyes. "Sheridan." He said again looking around.
His room had returned to normal. "Was I dreaming?" He questioned. "I must have been." He sighed falling back down in the bed. He could still hear her voice though, hear her laugh. "Just a dream." He whispered again as he fell back into a peaceful sleep.

Justin opened the door and Theresa smiled, "Hey Justin."
"I bet your lookin’ for two cute kids huh?" He laughed.
"Yeah I sure am." She nodded walking into the house.
"Well Matthew’s asleep in Chad’s room, and Kendra is playing with Jada."
"Where’s Chad?" She asked.
"Upstairs with the girls I guess." He said pointing toward the stairs.
"Well I’m just going to head up there and find them if that’s all right?" She asked smiling.
"No problem’s here." Justin laughed.
Theresa walked up the stairs and heard roars of laughter coming from Jada’s room.
"Daddy isn’t liking this." Chad said his voice in a plead.
"You said anything." Jada reminded him, as Theresa stuck her head into the room. Grabbing her mouth she held back her laughter as she saw Chad.
He was sitting in a chair, with both girls next to him, bright blue eye shadow stuck to his eyes, red blush was scrubbed on his cheeks, going all the way back to his ears. His lips, and his chin were smothered in a neon pink glitter lipstick.
"Daddy, you are beautiful." Jada giggled.
"Uh huh, you look really good." Kendra chimed.
"I’ve gotta agree with the girls Chad, your one hot babe." Theresa said doubling over in laughter.
Chad’s face flooded with red, "Resa." She stammered grabbing a tissue.
"Girls, one small tip, Blue is so not his color though."
Jada frowned, " I should’ve used purple."
"Theresa, I was just playing with the girls." Chad confessed.
"I see." Theresa said smiling.
"I usually don’t um do this stuff." He continued.
Theresa laughed again, "I think its sweet Chad, your just a wonderful daddy." She smiled.
Chad smiled a wave of relief going over him, "Yeah, I guess so." He laughed.
"Aunt Resa, I missed you." Kendra said hugging her.
"I missed you too Kenji." Theresa said smiling.
The little girl smiled. "Please don’t leave me with Ethum again." She begged looking up at her aunt.
Theresa sighed." Now Kendra, Ethan isn’t that bad. Aunt Resa couldn’t help it either, Grandma Pilar needed me."
The little girl frowned, "I’m sorry."
"It’s all right baby, why don’t you go look in on Matt, and I’ll be there in a second. "
She nodded, and with Jada close behind her they headed off.
Chad shook his head, "How’s Pilar?"
Theresa looked down at the floor. "She’s finally grieving, I suppose Its a good thing, She’s out of denial ya know? But something tells me the fight to get mama back has just began." She frowned.
Chad touched Theresa’s shoulder and then brought her into a hug. "I’m sorry Resa."
Theresa wiped a tear, " Thanks Chad. I’m so glad your here, I really am."
Chad released her and smiled, "So am I really beautiful?" He asked arching his eyebrow.
Theresa wiped a smug of lipstick of his chin, "Darling, Pink is so you." She laughed.
