Three hours ago he shocked his wife again. Three hours ago he told her he had another son. The funny thing was, Three hours ago she simply kissed his cheek and said ‘He has your sense of humor.’ Yes, Three hours ago Ivy Crane had taught him another lesson, a lesson about true love.

"Why aren’t you yelling?" He asked her standing up from the bed.
She took a deep breath, "You once told me, that you could have children all over the world, on that day I became prepared." She sighed. "I must admit I expected money hungry children, but I was wrong, the day we realized Chad was your son I realized just how wrong I really was."
"But, I just told you I might have another son." He frowned. "He’s only a few months younger than Jonah, and you are sitting here smiling at me."
"Julian, I lied to you for years about Ethan, and though you ignored him for awhile, I’ve watched you lately, your trying with him again Julian, so how can I ignore your children? I love Chad now, and I already care for Justin, if he is your son, we we’ll handle it, together."
He watched her, so calm, almost as if she had saw it coming. She hadn’t yelled, or slapped him as he had expected. Instead she was smiling up at him. "Ivy you must be upset with me, I mean really, if you want to yell please do I can take it." He informed her.
She shook her head. "I suppose I’m taken back, but not really." She said standing up. "It makes a lot of sense, and Julian if your going to have another son, I’m glad its Chad’s brother, he’s already apart of the family, so no, I won’t yell at you. "
"Perhaps your simply in shock." He frowned. "I mean I’ve been in shock for months."
Ivy frowned. "I am upset that you didn’t tell me, the moment you realized the possibility, you should have came to me with it then. We could have told Justin, and you could already be in his life."
Julian let out a groan. "I know, but I had just told everyone the truth about us not being Crane’s, and Martin had just got home, it was so much at once. I just wanted to wait until things calmed down." He explained. "I’m so sorry I didn’t come to you with it then Ivy, but I was shocked. The day you told me Justin was turning sixteen I couldn’t believe it. I honestly thought he was a year older, the last time I saw him mother, she told me he was a year older than he really was, that is if he is my son." His voice was strained as he talked, and as he looked up at Ivy a sadness filled his eyes. "I was so afraid you would be angry with me, I truly am sorry."
She touched his cheek with her hand, a tenderness Ivy usually didn’t show. "I forgive you Julian." She spoke as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "And Justin, he’ll forgive you too."
He smiled at her, "But I wasn’t there for him."
"You didn’t know."
"I should have."
"Julian, we can’t change the past, even if you had of known, you wouldn’t have been there for him then. You weren’t a good person then." She spoke the truth to him., the harsh truth that only Ivy could speak without hurting him.
"I know." He frowned. "Believe me I know."
"So now, you start fresh." She smiled. "You should be getting used to those new beginnings by now." She laughed softly.
He kissed her cheek." I love you Ivy."
"Yes, I know this." She laughed.
"Oh do you really?" He questioned. "Do you know just how much I love you?"
" I think I have a good idea." She cooed
"Do you ever miss the fighting?" He asked. "The way we were?"
"I actually miss your little names for me." She laughed.
"Oh, like my little Poison Ivy?" He grinned.
"Yes, that one was a favorite of mine."
"Then I’m sorry I forgot about it." He laughed.
She moved away from him and smiled." I must get downstairs dear." She told him, and then with a wink spoke. "He has your sense of humor Julian." And with that she left the room.

"Oh how I love that woman." He smiled.
"Well I hope so." Ivy’s voice sounded as he turned around.
"Ivy, there you are."
She looked at him, her eyes serious this time. "Ethan called, He said he’d be here soon. Julian he wants to tell us something."
"Did he say what?" Julian questioned his wife as she shook her head.
"No, but I don’t have a good feeling about it." She frowned. In fact I have a very bad feeling."

"So what’s next?" Theresa asked once the floor had been cleaned up. "I mean who do we tell?"
"I was thinking we’d tell the kids first, I mean unless you want to tell your folks first." Chad told her.
She shook her head. "No, I agree its better to tell Kenji , Jada and Justin." She smiled. "They are going to be so excited." She laughed.
"Are you excited?" Chad questioned.
Theresa looked up at him as they walked from the kitchen into the living room, "Of course I am, what kind of question is that?" She said sitting down in her chair.
"I don’t know, I just mean your not all squealy and stuff." He shrugged.
"Squealy? Is that even a word?" She said with a grin. "Chad, I’m still surprised, I mean I never expected to open my door and find you there ready to propose." She smiled. "We had never really talked about marriage it’s just so sudden."
"Oh." Was the only word he spoke as he looked down. "Its just that, well, never mind its stupid." He frowned.
Theresa sighed, "Chad, finish your sentence."
"No, really its nothing." He told her again, and again she didn’t believe him.
"If its nothing why are you frowning?" She questioned. "And why are you acting like you lost your best friend?"
He looked up at her, eyes showing concern. "You were so excited when you and Ethan got engaged. Laughing and perky, on cloud nine, even with all the things that stood in your way you were totally thrilled." He began. "And right now, you just seem so calm, you cleaned the orange juice up and just sat down, I mean are you sure you want this?"
Theresa suddenly began to laugh as Chad watched. "You find this funny?" He questioned.
"I was also a teenager when Ethan proposed to me, I had no idea what love and marriage was about, my idea of how it was suppose to be was so wrong back then. I thought marrying Ethan would mean having this perfect life, because back then, I honestly believed he was the perfect man. Baby, you’ve said yourself, I’m not that girl anymore, and I’m glad of that." She smiled. "Why am I not acting like I did back then? Chad, I’ve changed since then, life smacked me in the face and changed me. Do I want to marry you? Yes, Chad of course I do, because now I know what love is, and I know my life is with you. "
"So am I being crazy?" Chad frowned. "I mean I don’t wanta be."
Theresa gave him a soft smile, "You’re not being crazy, You’re being you, I know you watched me with Ethan back then, but what I shared with him, it was never based on steady ground, it started out wrong, with me taking him from Gwen, and it ended wrong, with him just running off. I don’t want you to ever compare us to what I shared with Ethan, because we are steady, and it feels so real to me."
"That’s because it is real girl. I’m sorry I even questioned you about wanting to marry me, I guess I just wanted to make sure." He laughed.
"Well now you know." She smiled. "And Chad, give me a little time, when it all sinks in, I’m going to be so perky you may wanta run and hide." She joked.
"Oh I don’t know about that." He smiled. "Hide from you? I doubt that."
"Well we’ll just see about that." Theresa giggled.
"It is going to be great Resa, for all of us." He smiled.
"That I don’t doubt for a second." Theresa said with a sigh.
