What The Cranes Want
There was much to be done before her wedding, her dream wedding, Theresa
thought with a smile. She knew two months didn’t give her long, but time
was something that didn’t matter. She was marrying the man she was destined
to be with, and when she spoke her vows to him, she would comment to him
only, and become the happiest woman alive.
"Look I don’t care if you have other weddings, this is a Crane wedding
and you will be here." Ivy Crane demanded into the phone looking over at
Theresa who sat looking through songs Chad had suggested for the wedding.
"Yes I know two months is short notice, but we want the best photographer,
and that is you Simon, so make it happen." Ivy almost shouted slamming
down the phone.
"Ivy, you really don’t have to do this, I don’t have to have the best.
Please don’t pull any strings for this wedding, it can be simple and I’ll
still be happy." Theresa smiled.
Ivy shook her head. "Nonsense, this is a Crane wedding, Theresa. After
all that we’ve been through, we all need this wedding, and you my dear,
you deserve it."
"Are you sure we can pull it together in two months?" Theresa asked.
"Because I can change the date."
"Trust me darling, we’ll make it work." Ivy said her eyes dancing.
"We have connections as Crane’s so this won’t be a problem."
Julian Crane came walking down the stairs smiling at the two women
below. "Did you book Simon?" He called out to Ivy.
"I’m working on it, He had another wedding booked for that day, but
I’m sure he’ll come around." She smiled smugly.
"Ivy no. I don’t want to ruin someone else’s wedding." Theresa said
with a frown. "We’ll find someone else."
"Simon is the best photographer around." Ivy sighed, "And he will be
here."
"Ivy please don’t go to all this trouble." Theresa pleaded again. "I
realize the Crane name can be great to use, but don’t use it for me, not
if it means that someone else will have to change their plans."
Looking at her watch Theresa frowned. "I need to go upstairs and check
on Matt, he was napping and I’m sure he’s up by now."
Watching as Theresa left Julian walked over to his wife and smiled.
"Book Simon." He spoke. "In fact use our connection to make this wedding
perfect. If I have to pay off brides everywhere my son will have a wedding
that will leave people talking for years to come.
With a laugh Ivy picked the phone up. "Don’t worry Julian, this wedding
will be the best in Crane history, I will personally make sure of that."

"Kay’s boyfriend seems nice." Gwen hummed sitting down next to Miguel
on the old porch swing at Pilar and Martin’s.
Wrapping his arm around Gwen, Miguel smiled. "Yeah, I liked him. Kay
seems to have it bad too." He laughed.
"You know, when she invited us to dinner last night, I didn’t know
what to expect, but she was really sweet." Gwen said resting her head on
Miguel’s shoulder.
"You worried she wouldn’t accept us?" Miguel questioned taking in her
scent. It seemed to always change, today she reminded him of sweet summer.
"I suppose my parents had me thinking about the class issue." She frowned.
"And the age thing is never far behind it."
"Kay wants me to be happy, and I am happy, with you." Miguel said kissing
Gwen’s forehead.
"You know, I didn’t get a chance to tell you my big news last night."
Gwen said beaming.
"Well, you can tell me now." Miguel said turning toward her, his hazel
eyes taking in her beauty.
"Sure you’re ready for this one?" Gwen asked with a huge smile.
"I think I can handle it."
"Well." She spoke moving back a little. "You are now looking at the
Vice President of Crane Industries." She spoke.
Miguel’s mouth gapped open. "Gwen that’s great!" He said grabbing her
into a hug. "Baby, I’m so proud of you."
"Do you think I can handle it?" She questioned.
"You can handle anything. You deserve this job babe."
When Gwen pulled back she touched Miguel’s hand. "You make me feel
as if I can do anything." She whispered. "You give me courage Miguel, you
make me strong."
"You are strong Gwen. You’ve always had it in you, you just needed
to find it."
Miguel moved in and kissed Gwen’s lips, moving away he looked at her
and winked. "Sexy, are you ready to have some fun?" He asked with a wink.
"Fun?" She questioned looking at him confused.
"Yeah fun. You know like when we first started dating, simple fun."
Miguel explained standing up and pulling Gwen to her feet.
"Oh that kind of fun." Gwen smirked.
"I hear there’s a big fair going on near the park, wanta go check it
out." He asked.
"Fair? A fair?" She questioned.
"You have been to a fair?" He laughed.
"Once." She sighed. "With Sheridan when we were younger, but Julian
and Mother found us and made us come home."
"Well I don’t see mommy around, and last thing I heard, Jules is taking
the girls." Miguel smiled.
"Will the fair have lots of rides?" Gwen questioned her voice almost
childlike. "And that good cotton candy, not the kind you get in stores?"
She inquired.
"It will have both of those things."
"And you’ll win me something? Or better yet you’ll let me win you something?"
Gwen asked slipping her hand into Miguel’s.
"Sure thing." He said leading her to his car.
"You know." She said taking a deep breath. "I like this life."
Miguel chuckled. "What kind of life is that sweetie?"
"The normal kind."

"What would you say if I told you I hated the wedding march." Theresa
asked looking up at Chad. They were in one of the rooms of the Crane estate,
the room Ivy was calling ‘Wedding Central’. Theresa was sitting in the
floor crossed legged looking at different colors and bridal magazines.
There were CDs beside her as well, and other things Chad knew were for
the wedding but still wasn’t sure what they were.
"You hate the ‘Wedding March’?" Chad questioned crossing his arms across
his chest. "But its traditional."
She sighed. "Yes and that’s why I don’t like it. Its over used. Every
time I hear that music now it bores me. I want my wedding to stand out,
when I am walking toward you on our wedding day, I want something meaningful
to be playing."
"Here comes the bride isn’t meaningful?" Chad laughed.
She shook her head. "Not to me. I want a actual song playing. Words
to express how I feel about you."
Chad couldn’t help but laugh as he watched Theresa file through the
CDs in her lap. "You know, I have to agree with this song choice." He spoke
as she looked up at him.
"Then I guess you better get comfortable, because before I leave this
house tonight, I’m going to have my songs picked out."
He saw the spunk in Theresa’s eyes and Chad felt his heart fill with
love. She was back, carefree Theresa, the woman he had once known before
her brother’s death was slowly coming back, but this time she would be
mixed maturity and honesty.
"Theresa." He said kneeling beside her.
"Hmm?" She questioned never looking up.
"About our vows." He began catching her attention.
"What about them?" She asked.
"I want us to write them." He smiled, "You don’t like the wedding march,
and I don’t like the regular vows."
"Write our vows?" She asked staring at him.
"Yeah. I mean if we think about how we found each other it just seems
right." He explained. "I want to speak from my heart when I marry you."
"Oh Chad." She whispered throwing her arms around him. "Do you know
how much I love you?"
"So that’s a yes?" He asked with a laugh.
"Of course silly! Writing our vows will be so romantic." Leaning toward
him she kissed him softly. "I just can’t wait to become your wife."
"Well baby you won’t have to wait long." Chad joked leaning to kiss
Theresa once again.

Justin smiled as he saw the tall blonde walk toward him. Her hair hung
down her waist and her deep blue eyes seemed to be dancing. She had to
be younger than him, perhaps fourteen, but she was hot just the same.
"Hi." She spoke her voice childlike and adorable.
"Hey there." Justin said leaning against the counter. The Book Café
was in a buzz as people came in and out, but the blonde had picked him
to talk to.
"I saw you, and I just had to come over." She cooed looking at him.
"Really?" He asked arching a eyebrow.
"Yes. My brother and I just got into town, and well this was our first
flipped her hair over her shoulder.
"No actually I was born here in Harmony." She smiled. "I’ve been away
at school."
"Oh." Justin frowned.
"My brother and I had to come home, for a wedding." She explained.
"Really? My brother is getting married soon too." Justin smiled.
"Yes. I know." The blonde laughed.
Justin’s eyes got wide, "You do?" he questioned.
"Your brother is Chad Harris right? And he’s marrying Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald.
And you, your Justin."
Swallowing he nodded his head. "How did you know all that?"
"I’m Ericka." She smiled looking up at him. "Ericka Crane, your sister."
Sister.
He had been flirting with his sister. At that moment Justin decided
it was time to take a vacation, a very long vacation.
