Whitney had been practicing for over an hour at the
court. She noticed Fox watching her out of the
corner of his eye. Fox walked over.
"Fox, what are you doing here?" asked T.C.

"I play tennis once in a while," said Fox. "No
competitions or anything like Whitney but its
an ok sport." Fox had barely played tennis in his
life but he hoped it help him get closer to
Whitney especially since Chad had been stuck with
Latoya since she followed him to town, still refusing
to get a divorce.

"Well, lets see what you got," said T.C, a few sarcastic
thoughts about the Cranes. Whitney
and Fox played tennis for a few minutes. Fox sulked
away in embarrassment that he had been beaten.

"That plan to impress Whitney totally backfired,"
Fox thought.

When T.C. had gone to get some more water, Whitney
told Fox to meet her there later.

"Maybe it wasn't a total loss after all," thought
Fox.

Theresa carried little Ethan into the kitchen so they
could get some breakfast.

"Theresa, do you know why the front door was unlocked
this morning?" Pilar asked.

"No, mama you always lock it before you go to bed."
said Theresa.

Theresa's mind went over the events of the past
night, but she couldn't remember how it had
ended.

"What if I killed Rebecca Hotchkiss?" thought
Theresa, hoping that her imagination was just
playing tricks on her. Theresa decided that if
there had been a murder the newspaper would
say something about it.

"Mama do we have this morning's paper?" asked
Theresa. Pilar handed Theresa the paper, who flipped
through it frantically.

"Thank goodness," said Theresa with relief.

"Theresa, you're starting to worry me," said Pilar.

"Me too," thought Theresa. What was wrong with her?

Rebecca decided not to tell Julian about her sleep
walking incident the night before. She jumped when
Julian caught her trying to lock the letter opener
in a safe.

"Becs, what are you doing?" asked Julian.

"Putting this where I can't get at it," said Rebecca.
Rebecca got sidetracked and sat the letter opener
down before she closed the safe.

"But you didn't sleepwalk at all last night," said
Julian.

"I was just putting it there in case, you know, it
happens again." said Rebecca. Rebecca flashed back to
finding the letter opener in the hallway, wondering
how she could possibly not remember getting it. She
had also noticed that one of the drawers had been
at a strange angle in the hallway, like someone
had bumped into it or something.

"I must have just bumped into it in my sleep," said
Rebecca.

"What was that?" asked Julian.

"N-nothing," said Rebecca. Julian wasn't so sure it
was nothing.

"Maybe she did sleepwalk and she's just not
saying anything about it," thought Julian.

Meanwhile, Kay moved her things back into the
Bennett house.

"Mom will really get a surprise out of this," thought
Kay. "Mom will be sorry if she tries to take over
my daughter or if she lets Charity help." Kay
would deal with them if she had to but she was starting to
get a little tired of the strange
happenings at Tabitha's. Tabitha's baby would be
the death of her, thought Kay.

"Kay, what are you doing here?" asked Grace.

"I'm moving back in!" said Kay.

"Really? That's great, I'm so glad you finally came
around!" said Grace, throwing her arms around Kay.
Grace hoped this would be more pleasant than, well
recently.

Kay cringed but pretended to be happy to be home.

"There's that dreaded smell again," thought Kay,
her least favorite aroma coming from the kitchens
oven. "Oh well, I guess its more normal than butterflies
coming out of your ears and detatchable
body parts floating around the room," thought Kay,
flashing back to Tabitha's odd pregnancy symptoms. If
that wasn't strange enough Endora had tried to make
Kay's curling iron get stuck in her hair this morning
and Tabitha had barely got her to stop in time, Kay
was lucky her hair was in one unharmed peice but that
had been the final straw.
