Chapter 18

Eve's cellphone rang. She was called into the hospital.

"Oh my God," Eve said. Eve listened to the conversation and hang up.

"What happened?" Julian asked.

"I got called into work," Eve said. "They found Sheridan."

"They did?" Julian asked. Julian didn't want Eve to find out that he was supposed to want Sheridan dead.

"Apparently Beth Wallace and someone named Charlie kidnapped her. Charlie got away, but Luis and Antonio went over to Sheridan's house to rescue her. Mrs. Wallace and Precious rescued her because Charlie dug a huge pit in Sheridan's basement and then Beth went crazy and tried to shove Sheridan back into the pit and shoved Luis in by accident. Beth freaked out when she realized it was Luis she pushed and ran into the pit." Eve said.

"Eve, do you want me to give you a ride over to the hospital?" Julian asked.

"No, I'll be ok," Eve said. "I don't want to risk you getting caught by TC," Eve said. Julian kissed Eve on the cheek before she left.
 

Julian arrived back at the mansion about the same time Rebecca showed up. All Julian wanted to do was think about his past, but the next thing he knew, he felt Rebecca wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him. He hoped that if he didn't acknowledge her she'd get bored and leave him alone with his thoughts. He was snapped out of his daze when Rebecca surprised him by kissing him on the mouth and not letting him get any air. He let out an irritated sigh and pulled his hands off as Rebecca, and rebuttoned the few buttons of his shirt that she had managed to unbutton while he was distracted.

"Julian!" Rebecca said.

"What's gotten into you?" Julian asked. "I just now got home!"

"Yeah, don't remind me," Rebecca thought snidely. "I was hoping we could spend some time together," Rebecca said.

"Rebecca, I'm really not in the mood for games tonight," Julian said.

"Well, it wouldn't have to be games," Rebecca said.

"Rebecca, I'm just not in the mood." Julian said.

"Well, you sure seem to be." Rebecca said.

"Come again?" Julian asked.

"Well, no matter what I do I can't seem to get you to pay any attention to me!" Rebecca said. Rebecca decided to try to guilt him. "Julian, I tried to get your attention before you left and you cut me off and walked right by me." Rebecca reminded him, jealous that he was sneaking off to go see Eve on the wharf. "Earlier I was so bored I almost thought about calling Ivy just for someone to talk to! Ivy!" Rebecca said, emphasising how much she despised Ivy. "I was so bored that I couldn't even call room service for something to do!"

"You poor poor thing," Julian said. Rebecca stood there speechless.

"No, you poor poor thing if you don't get your act together!" Rebecca said.

"Rebecca, we're already married so you can't throw the boat explosion in my face!"

"Stop it, Julian." Rebecca said. "Shut up and listen to me." Rebecca said.

"Fine," Julian said. Just as Julian was getting ready to listen so he could get on with his day, his speaker phone rang.

"I give up," Rebecca said to herself as Julian answered the phone.

"Yes father," Julian said, rolling his eyes.

"You two quit bickering," Alastair said. "We've got a huge problem!"

"Whatever!" Julian and Rebecca said, not in the mood for Alastair's whining.

"Don't whatever me! Pookey and Becky Wecky need to get their act together and kill Luis!" Alastair said.

"Not again," Julian said.

"Yes, they found Sheridan and Luis needs to be eliminated, there's no way Antonio can keep everyone in the dark any longer because if Luis comes to he will confess his love for Sheridan!" Alastair said.

"Alastair, what are you talking about?" Rebecca asked.

"Haven't you two figured it out?" Alastair asked. "That's not the real Antonio."
