Wait For Me; Chapter 4 (Evian)
by ejcrane

(Just so you guys know; Simone was in an accident in LA and now has amnesia.)

---

“Julian…Julian,” Eve moaned as she smiled, “Oh, oh,” her breathing became short quick breaths, “Oh yesss,” she moaned even louder.

Tc, who was next to her, woke up and stared at his ex-wife as she writhed against the sheets. He heard who she was calling out to, and watched as Eve raised her hips off the bed as she called out to Julian once more.

Tc shook his head. He laid there next to Eve as she continued to groan in pleasure.

Tc extended his hand to Eve’s chest underneath the blanket and cupped her breast. Afterwards, his hand slid down to her lower abdomen, and then between her thighs.

“Yes, Julian, yes,” Eve placed her hand on Tc’s to guide him.

Tc stopped abruptly when he heard Eve. Something was wrong, she could feel it. Suddenly Eve awoke and found Tc’s hands on her.

“Tc! What are you doing?!” she jumped out of bed.

“Eve, I can explain…”

“I think it’d be best if I’d go back to sleeping on the couch,” she grabbed her pillow and walked out of the room.

Eve sat on the couch and finally caught her breath. She couldn’t believe what Tc was doing; did he always do that to her while they were married? God, she hoped not! And what was it she was dreaming before she woke up?

Julian!

Eve stood and slipped her coat and shoes on, grabbed her keys and left in her car.

Eve parked to the side and got out of her car. She opened the front door and made her way up the stairs, and found the room that was all too familiar to her. Eve slipped in and quietly shut the door. She then kicked off her shoes and pulled off her coat, and after her coat came off, so did her nightgown. All that filled the room was the sound of a man sleeping. Eve smiled as she slipped under the covers next to Julian. She snuggled next to him and began kissing his neck. Julian sighed and Eve could smell the liquor on his breath. He’d been drinking. Her lips made contact with his and he puckered up and kissed her back. Realizing someone was next to him, Julian began blinking and Eve came into focus above him.

“Eve?” he squinted, “What are you doing…”

“Shh, Julian,” she smiled and leaned down and kissed him.

Julian received her kisses and wrapped his arms around her and turned her over on her back.

“Make love to me, Julian…please!” she cried.

“Darling, don’t cry,” Julian kissed her tears away, “I’ve missed you, Eve! God, how I’ve missed you,” he kissed her neck as his fingers ran through her hair.
---

Eve woke up in Julian’s arms and kissed him right before she slipped out of the mansion before anyone had seen her.

She made her way back home in time for anyone to notice that she hadn’t slept there all night.
---

“Eve,” Julian grinned with his eyes closed, “Eve?” his hand went to the other side of the bed, but felt nothing there.

He then opened his eyes to find that Eve wasn’t there.

“It was just a dream,” he leaned back as his head collapsed on the pillow, “Just a dream…”
---

Three weeks passed and Eve and Tc were out having dinner at the Blue Note. Eve was talking to Ivy and Tc was chatting with his good friend, Sam.

“Why don’t you two sit with us,” Tc invited Sam and Ivy.

“You sure you don’t mind,” Sam asked.

“No, right Eve?”

“No, no, sit down,” Eve said happily.

Sam and Ivy sat down and Sam became engrossed in a conversation with Tc. Ivy began a conversation with Eve and the two were laughing when something or someone caught her eye.

Julian strolled into the Blue Note and following behind him was this young African-American woman who seemed to be in her early forties. He escorted her past Eve’s table to the bar. Eve saw Julian’s arm around this woman, and seethed as she saw his hand rest on the woman’s waist. Eve’s eyes never left Julian, and Ivy noticed.

She wondered what Eve was doing with Tc if she still clearly wanted Julian. Tc also noticed Eve’s reaction to Julian.

It was eighty’s night at the Blue Note, and George Michael’s “Careless Whisper” began playing. Eve stood and asked Tc to dance with her. He accepted and she led him to the dance floor and was brought into his arms.

“I feel so unsure
As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor
As the music dies, something in your eyes…

Eve’s eyes met Julian’s across the room.

“Calls to mind a silver screen
And all it's sad goodbyes…”

Eve closed her eyes as Tc held her close.

“I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have gotten no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool…”

Her eyes opened and met Julian’s again.

“I should have known better than to cheat a friend
And waste the chance that I've been given
So I'm never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you…

Their minds went back to the many dances they shared over the months. Julian then turned his head from Eve and focused on the woman in front of him. He pulled her close to him and began kissing her neck. Eve’s body stiffened in Tc’s arms and he took notice of this.

“Eve, are you alright?”

“Yes, I just have to go to the lady’s room,” she walked hurriedly past the other couples on the dance floor and made her way into a stall where she began crying.

Back at the bar, Julian never looked towards Eve’s table or the dance floor, so when Vanessa pulled on him and directed him towards the lady’s room, Julian happily stood and followed this beautiful woman.

The door swung open as Julian and Vanessa stumbled into the restroom in each other’s arms kissing. He brought her in front of him and maneuvered over the counter as he unzipped his pants.

“Oh, Julian, you turn me on,” she moaned as he tore off her dress.

Eve’s eyes widened as she heard Julian’s name. She picked up her feet and stood on the toilet as she peeked through the crack of the door and saw Julian thrust himself between this woman’s thighs. Her heart broke. She couldn’t breathe as she turned her head. Eve covered her ears, but still, she could hear their moans of ecstasy.

“Tonight the music seems so loud
I wish that we could lose this crowd
Maybe it's better this way
We'd hurt each other with the things we'd want to say
We could have been so good together
We could have lived this dance forever
But now who's gonna dance with me
Please stay…”

“Let’s take this to my place,” Vanessa growled seductively.

“Yes, let’s,” Julian pulled from her as he continued to kiss her.

The two left the restroom, when Julian’s cell phone rang.

“Honey, let me take this,” he touched her chin, “I won’t be long.” He smiled as he went off to the side and began talking.

In the restroom, Eve’s trembling body finally made its way out of the bathroom stall. She slowly walked up to the spot that Julian had made love to this woman, and Eve began to break down. She looked in the mirror at herself and just listened to the remaining lyrics of the song.

“(Now that you're gone) Now that you're gone
(Now that you're gone) Was what I did so wrong, so wrong
That you had to leave me alone.”

---

Eve had to be alone. She couldn’t face Julian out there and she didn’t want to face Tc, so she was just going to leave the Blue Note. Eve opened the door and turned to her left to leave through the side exit, but bumped right into Julian on his cell phone.

“Excuse me,” she looked up to come face to face with him.

“Eve?” he looked at her reddened eyes and smeared mascara.

He then noticed that she came out of the bathroom. Julian swallowed. He was just in the bathroom with Vanessa. Eve heard them.

“Eve,” he whispered as he stepped towards her.

“NO! Don’t you TOUCH ME!” she ran from him out the door and onto the wharf.

Julian followed after her and caught up to her.

“Eve, WAIT!” he pulled her back to him

“Let go of me! LET GO!” Eve pulled free from him, “I can’t believe that you would go and…and…I hate you!”

“I would go and what?! Hmm? Move on with my life?! Well, what is it that you’re doing?!” he crossed his arms.

“You know I went back to Tc for Simone, Julian…I…”

“Yes, that’s interesting,” he rubbed his chin, “Tell me doctor, how does spreading your legs for your EX-husband help your daughter regain her memory?”

“You BASTARD,” she pushed on his chest, “You JERK!” Eve pushed Julian harder this time.

And she watched as his shoe got caught on a nail that was sticking up through the boards. He lost his balance and fell back. Since the tsunami, they had taken long to reconstruct the town to the way it was before, and so the wooded railing was missing a board and Julian fell off the wharf and landed on his back several feet below on the rocks.

“JULIAN!” Eve screamed as she came to the edge and viewed Julian’s unconscious body below.
