Chapter 1

Fox Crane yawned and stretched his chiseled body. He smiled to himself as he looked down at the raven haired beauty at his side. "This was way too easy" he thought to himself as he gently touched her. Theresa turned and looked at him with shining eyes. "Ummm...can we cuddle now?" She asked him, a look of longing in her eyes.

"I think you should go now" he said to her, mock concern in his voice. Her smile fell. " No one can catch you here, Theresa" he said. "You know what would happen if they did." After a long pause, she nodded, a diappointed llok on her face. She slowly rose, gathering her things and throwing a robe on, hurried out the door without looking back. Fox smiled as the door closed. Soon he would get everything he wanted.
He had moved back home the day before Ethan and Gwen's wedding. His parents were shocked to see him, of course, He had not been home in years. His father was delighted. Fox had always been Julian's son, inside and out. Ivy was a different story., but after a very rocky start, Fox and Ivy began to be civila nd even kind to each other. No one questioned why he was home except Ethan. He of course told them what they wanted to hear, that he wanted to see his oldest brother being married to a dear friend, but that was anything but the truth. He had steeled home as soon as he heard that the Crane fortune was being run by a Lopez Fitz-Gerald and her hellspawn.

From the moment he returned home, Fox despised Theresa. Sure, she was shockingly beautiful, a genuine trophy wife, but she was power hungry and naive. A horrible person to be running the Crane fortune in Fox's eyes. He could not stand to see a child ordering his powerful father and mother around like servants. He was determined to bring about her ruin. But Fox was as cunning as his name suggested. He bided his time, looking for the perfect opportunity.

After Ethan and Gwen were married, Julian tried desperately to finalize his divorce with Theresa and came very close to succeeding until Alistair interfered. He promised Theresa that her son would be sole heir to the Crane fortune and she could keep her title and job at Crane Industries under one condition: taht she remain faithful to Julian. The whole town was shocked be Alistair's decision. They all thought he was crazy, but Fox knew the truth. On a rare moment of weakness, his grandfathertold him a secret he was never to reapeat. Alistair was deeply in love with Pilar Lopez Fitz-Gerald. He had been for years. he had always hoped his power and money would win her over, but it did not. Pilar fell in love with Martin. Alistair, consumed with jealousy, had killed Martin years ago, but he had not forgotten Pilar. Again he tried but failed at winning her heart. There was no doubt that Theresa resembled her mother very much. And Alistair was able to live out his fantasies (or as close to them as possible) with Theresa living in his home.

Rebecca Hotchkiss, realizing that Alistair's word was his bond, gave up on winning Julian over and returned to her husband Jonathon who welcomed her with open arms. Ethan and Gwen remained in the Crane house as did Theresa, Julian, Ivy, Alistair, and Fox. Fox realized this was an explosive situation and sat back in order to get the best idea of how to destroy Theresa. He gained her trust very quickly by taking her side in arguments with Ivy and Julian. Then, he just waited.

Ethan and Gwen were very happy for a while after they were married, then Ethan accepted a job working with Theresa at Crane Industries. Theresa took full advantage of the situation, holding Ethan long after hours, sending him on business trips, anything to keep him from Gwen. She also made sure that she was also on these business trips. Ethan was rapidly being drawn back into her web, which was just fine with Fox. He had always thought that Gwen was perhaps the only woman he could ever trully fall in love with. He had admired her from afar ever since they were children, but she only had eyes for Ethan. Just when Fox thought he could have his cake and eat it too, for Gwen was starting to pack her bags to leave and Theresa was doing just fine on ruining her position with the Cranes without his help, the unthinkable happened: Gwen became deathly ill. Ethan, faced with the possiblility of losing not only his wife, but his unborn child as well, became and undeniably devoted husband. He rarely left Gwen's side, despite everything Theresa tried to do to drag him away. Gwen slowly regained her health and gave birth to a fragile but beautiful little girl, Andrea Marie Winthrop. From that moment, Ethan only had eyes for his wife and daughter. He didn't look twice at Theresa, much to her distress, and Fox decided it was time for him to get involved.

So there it was. Gwen was now healthy enough that she and Ethan were looking at moving into a house of their own and Theresa was trying everything in her power to prevent them, without any luck. Fox sweet-talked her by telling her he would help her win Ethan back and talking about fate which was a word he heard her say almost non-stop.And it seemed Theresa was goign to stay faithful to Julian in spite of herself.

That's how they ended up in bed together. Theresa was devastated that evening when Ethan and Gwen announced they had found the perfect house and were in negotiations to buy. Theresa had burst into tears and run from the room with Fox at her heels. Now was the perfect chance. He took her into his room and, pretending to comfort her, convinced her that Ethan would come running back if he was jealous. Theresa eagerly bought the words and ...the rest was easy as pie.

Fox stood, wrapping a robe around his body. Laughing quetly to himself, he ejected the tape from the hidden camera aimed at the bed. Now's where the real fun begins.
