Chad looked at Theresa then at his father, "I’ll go get her." He said as he jumped up from the table and ran after his mother.
Theresa looked at Julian and frowned. "Do you know what that’s all about?" She said searching out the answer in Julian’s eyes.
"I’d be lying if I said no. The truth is I know what is wrong with Eve, but quite frankly the problem is me." He sighed.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Theresa asked.
Julian slowly shook his head. "I don’t think it will help." He said frowning." What’s done is done."
Theresa smiled. "You know, after I betrayed Ethan I didn’t think I deserved to be loved ever again."
"But dear you’ve proven yourself." Julian told her finally looking up.
"Yes, and even though I have Chad’s love, the guilt of all my lies still bothers me. It always will."
Julian’s eyes widened. "How do you deal with it, If you don’t mind me asking."
"I just tell myself everyday that I can’t changed the past, but I can make up for it by never doing something like that again. I’m not bad, and I have to force myself to believe that."
"Yes, I totally understand how that is." Julian nodded.
"Julian, we do have a lot in common." Theresa said looking at him.
"Are you referring to my past with Eve?"
"I was actually referring to how you’ve began to change from the man you once were."
"Oh yes that. But Theresa, I must admit out of all the things I’ve done I regret hurting Eve and giving up Chad the most."
Theresa frowned. "What did you do to loose Eve?"
Julian shook his head."Its a horrible story. But to short form is simple, Father was trying to separate us, and I promised Eve I wouldn’t let him."
"But you lied?" Theresa asked frowned.
Nodding Julian continued. "It wasn’t a lie at first. I did tell father I loved Eve, I even told him I was going to marry he and raise our child. But He said he would take away my money. Disown me, and leave me to make it on my own. So, I went along with him."
"And you gave Eve up, and your child away."
"But father wanted to kill the baby, and that I wouldn’t allow, I talked the hospital into lying to father and we made sure Chad stayed alive."
"That’s such a sad story." Theresa said as she wiped a tear from her eye.
"Yes, it is my dear. It certainly is."

Chad touched his mother’s shoulder as she turned around, tears streaming down her face. "I hate him Chad." She sobbed.
"Who Julian?" Chad asked.
"No Alistiar I hate him for ruining our family, and I hate the fact that Julian let him." She cried.
"Mom its going to be O.K." Chad said hugging her.
"It will never be O.K. Chad. I lost your childhood because of them. I loved Julian and he loved me." She yelled.
"So why wasn’t that enough?" Chad questioned.
"Because Julian loved his money. He refused to give it up. He chose his wealth over us son." Eve said looking at Chad.
Chad frowned at the pain in his mother’s eyes. Never had he saw her so hurt. "But he’s trying to make up for it now." He reasoned.
"How can he make up for me not seeing your first steps? Hearing your first words? I lost it all Chad. And I can never forgive him for it."
Chad shook his head. "Mom you have to try. If you had stayed with Julian then, you never would have had Simone or Whitney."
Eve nodded. "But I love you as much as I do them. Chad, I thought you were dead. Julian allowed me to believe you were gone forever." Tears dripped down her face as she talked, she clutched Chad’s hand in her own, shaking she looked up at him. "I missed your life, because of them Chad."
Chad felt his own eyes fill with tears. " I know mom, I always dreamed of having a mother, and she was always just like you. But I have to forgive Julian, because he is trying. I can’t hate my father."
"And I don’t want to. Not when I loved him so much before."
"Please try to forgive him. He’s trying, I really think he is."
Eve nodded. "For you Chad, I’ll do anything."
Chad hugged his mother. "I love you mom." He whispered in her ear.
"I love you too baby." She cried.

Jasolyn Crane clapped her hands together as she peered at Eve and Chad. "How touching." She grumbled a smile dancing on her face. "Mother and son look so happy. Its pictures like this I love ripping to shreds.
"And its girls like you I love knocking some sense into to." A voice said behind her.
Jasolyn turned around and looked at the young girl standing behind her. "Who are you?"
"My name is Lori, and you are Jasolyn Crane." Lori smiled.
"Yes, that would be me. Now why are you here stalking me little girl?" Jasolyn questioned.
"Stalking you? You’re the one with your head pressed to the window. I’m simply here to have dinner with my father. But I am friends with Chad Harris." Lori added.
"So you know my wonderful brother?" Jasolyn questioned.
"I know you are a snake and will do anything to keep everyone else as miserable as you." Lori said rolling her eyes. "But not Chad, he’s way to smart for that."
"Have a little crush on my brother do we? How sweet." Jasolyn mocked.
"If I have to, I’ll keep tabs on you myself. But I promise you this much, you won’t hurt my friends."
"Honey, he’s a little too old to be a friend of yours."
Lori smiled. "And you’re a little to old to be jealous of your brother."
"Whatever. I’m out of her." Jasolyn said pushing past Lori.
"And I’ll be seeing you again real soon." Lori yelled as Jasolyn walked away. "That is a promise.
