"You know that little brat?" Jasolyn asked her sister.
Ericka smiled. "We were friends back at school, of course Lori’s dad wanted her home, I think it was to spite her mother in the divorce."
""Did you put her up to spying on me?" Jasolyn yelled.
Ericka laughed. "Spying? Jas, I’m not like you."
"But you’re a Crane."
"Right. Anyway, I need to be going now, Daddy wants to see me, and I just can’t wait to meet Chad!"
"He’s nothing special." Jasolyn said rolling her eyes.
"Daddy likes him doesn’t he?" Ericka giggled.
"Ricki dear, Father loves us all equal, isn’t that what he tells us?" Jasolyn glared.
"Yes, of course Jas. Look just don’t try to hurt daddy anymore, he’s changed."
"I will not allow anyone to come in and take our money Ricki, and if that means breaking Father’s heart, its just too bad!" She huffed.
"Jas, what are you up too?" Ericka begged.
"Like I’d tell you."
"Does Mother know?"
Jasolyn smiled. "Our mother? Ricki how could you ask such a thing."
"She does know." Ericka gasped.
"I thought you had somewhere to be Ericka." Jasolyn said staring down at her little sister.
"Yes. I’ll be seeing you again real soon." Ericka smiled.
"Hey Ricki?"
"Yes?"
"You are the only one here in town right?"
A crooked smile fell to Ericka’s lips. "Our brother will be here in a few days. Have fun Jas." She laughed walking back her sister.
"This is so not fair." Jasolyn yelled stomping her foot.

"Julian Crane?" Eve swallowed looking at her former husband.
"Yeah Eve, you remember him right? The father of your son?"
"T.C., I talk to Julian often, because of Chad, but how did you know that?" Eve asked shutting the door to her home.
"Someone informed me." T.C. yelled. "Are you with him Eve? Are you and Julian together again?"
"No we’re not together, and I resent you coming here and treating me this way!"
"You are the mother of my two children, and I think I have the right to know, if you’re running around town with that man!"
"You may be the father of my children, but he is also the father of my son! And if I want to talk to him, I will!"
"When did you last see him Eve? When did you last talk to Crane?"
Eve felt her blood boil. "Last night! I talked to Julian last night because Chad wanted me too."
"Oh, so is Chad trying to play matchmaker?"
"Leave my son out of this T.C." Eve shouted back.
"This is just great! My children have lost their mother to that low life and his offspring and you don’t even care."
Eve’s hand raked across T.C.’s face. Slapping him with all her might. "How dare you? I love all my children, and it was you that left me, and the girls went with you! I begged them to stay, I love them more than you will ever know. So don’t you dare come into my home and talk to me like that. Do you hear me? Chad isn’t just some offspring." She shouted. "He is the product of a love that was as true as anything we ever shared! So I suggest you get out of this house until you calm down!" She finished opening her door.
"We’re not done here!" T.C. told her.
"Oh no, we are certainly not done!" She agreed as T.C. walked out.
Slamming her door Eve let out a loud yell then walked over to her sofa and rolled up into a ball, tears streaming down her face.
"When will the pain just leave." She sobbed looking at the phone, thinking of her first real love.

Julian looked down at the papers on his desk, then over at his computer. "Man you must work." He told himself. "Get your mind on what’s important." Sighing he put his pen down, who was he kidding? His mind was on the important things. He was thinking of Chad, and Eve, of his other children, the past as well as the present, and mostly the future.
He had this chance at a new life, but first he had to reach out and grab it. He could start over if he wanted to, be more like Sheridan maybe even find a love like she had. Frowning he dropped his head, he had, had that type of love, once. Years ago with Eve, he had felt alive, on top of the world. Then he lost it, everything that mattered to him, his soul mate, and his son.

"Father, I won’t leave her!" Julian yelled staring in his father’s cold eyes.
"Oh yes you will! And the child, we must get rid of it." The oldest Crane said frowning, "It will cause nothing but problems."
"No! I won’t allow it! Eve is my life, you can’t rip her from me! "
"I can and I will!" Alistar smiled.
"Never! I’ll never let you." Julian fumed.
"You have not choice in the matter. Either you walk away from this woman, or I’ll be force to get rid of her for good."
Julian’s face went pale, "You wouldn’t?"
"Yes, yes I would. If you don’t do as I say I will make sure you’re lovely Eve dies! Her and that dreaded child."
"Dreaded? This child isn’t dreaded. Eve and I both can’t wait until its born. She thinks it will be a boy." Julian pleaded.
"Not another word Julian! Now do as I say or else."

"I hate him!" Julian yelled slamming his fist into the desk. "I hate you father." He called out in the empty room, just as the phone began to ring.
