Chad smiled at the two people in front of him, his parents, Julian Crane and Eve Russell, he still couldn’t get over it.

"Chad, Julian and I need to talk, do you think you can give us a moment?" Eve asked looking around the park.

Chad nodded, "Sure thing." He smiled, heading over to a bench nearby. Sitting down he looked over to see a young girl, no more than 13 years old sitting at the end of the bench.

"Mind if I sit here?" He asked.

"I can’t stop ya." She shrugged.

"Um, OK then." Chad said.

"That your parents?" She questioned pointing to Eve and Julian.

Chad smiled, his parents, yes that was," Yeah."

"They look happier than mine." She sighed pointing to a couple not far away.

"I guess. Is something wrong?" Chad asked.

"Nope, my world is perfect, just perfect. I get to spend the weekend with Daddy and his barbie doll Ginger." She grumbled rolling her eyes.

"Your parents are separated then?" Chad guessed.

"Yelp! Look at them over there. Mother is trying to squeeze more money out of his wallet, and he’s trying to convince her Ginger wasn’t in the picture before the divorce. Ugh." The girl complained.

"That must be rough. I’m Chad by the way." He said with a uneasy grin.

"I’m Lori, and as I said before those people over there gave me life. Oh the Joy in that." She sighed.

"Hey it can’t be that bad. I just found my parents. At least you have a mother and father that love you."

"Love me? Oh yeah that speech. " She said slumping down. "They are doing this FOR me, yeah right. Dad, was cheating on mother months before the divorce, and Mother, well she was trying to figure out how to keep ALL his money before he walked out. But yes I come first." She laughed.

"I’m sorry to hear that, life can be hard."

"Yeah tell me about it. Life stinks then you die right? I begged them to stay together. Every child wants their parents together right? But Dad said he loved Ginger. The girl is Eight years older than me, I mean she’s a play toy." She groaned. "His sexy little red head." She said looking at Chad’s amused face. "What? That’s what he called her on the phone. "

"You listened?"

She grinned, "Mother had all the phone’s in the house bugged. So she could shift the blame to him I guess."

Chad let out a chuckle the kid in front of him was something else. "Well I’m sure you’ll make it just fine. You seem very strong."

"I can get by." Lori looked over at Eve and Julian and back at Chad. "So you married?" She questioned.

"No, engaged though. Getting married in three months." He smiled.

"Do you really love her? I mean for all the right reason’s?" Lori quizzed.

Chad nodded, "Theresa is the best thing that could have ever happened to my life. We belong together."

"How sweet." Lori said, but her tone was still hostile. "I’ll never get married."

"Don’t say that." Chad told her.

"Please, look at my parents, and what about yours are they together?" She asked.

Chad shook his head, "No."

"Either one of them married?"

"My mother’s husband just left her, when he found out about me. And my father, he divorced his wife after finding out about lies she had told." Chad explained.

Lori sighed, "See what I mean?" She said looking up as Julian and Eve looked toward Chad. "Wait a second, isn’t that Julian Crane?" She gasped.

Chad nodded, "Yeah, that’s my dad."

"Oh wow, I saw all that on TV. Whoa your life is more messed up than mine." She laughed.

"Thanks."

She thought for a moment, "And Theresa, that name, wait, that isn’t the same Theresa that was engaged to Ethan Crane? But he’s not a Crane right? And He left her at the altar because she lied? " She rattled her eyes huge.

"The same one." Chad sighed.

"I saw all that in all the magazines. You know, if your parents hooked back up, that would be interesting. They still have a spark ya know." She noted.

"A spark?" Chad laughed. "Nah, not Eve and Julian."

Lori pointed at them. "Watch the way they look at each other. If my parents still looked at each other like that, I’d be playing match maker in a heartbeat. But father’s heart beats for Ginger." She sighed standing up.

"You leaving?" Chad asked.

She nodded. "Time for me to go roll my eyes at Ginger. She actually tries to act like a mother figure. Please. Later Chad." The girl waved running toward her parents.

Chad looked back over at Eve and Julian, Did they really have a spark? Did they still care about each other? They were both single now, and had cared about each other once. Could his parents find they’re way back to each other after all the time that had went by.
Chad let a small grin appear on his face. "Well I always wanted the perfect family, but I’ll take what I can get." He sighed thinking of the possibilities of his parents getting back together.
