Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald let out a loud sigh as he looked at a stack of History books on his desk. School would be starting back next week and he wasn’t prepared at all. His mind kept wandering back to his conversation with Kay.
"She’s back Miguel, Charity is back in town." His friend frowned. "And
you should see her, all that makeup, the tight clothes." Kay rambled.
"Slow down." Miguel spoke touching Kay’s hand, "You say Charity is
back in town? Kay, this is her home."
Kay Bennett shook her head. "No Miggs this isn’t her home. You don’t
get it, she’s changed. She’s so different, so blunt. She wants you back
Miguel, and I’m pretty sure she’d play dirty to get her way."
"Charity? Fight dirty?" Miguel laughed. "Kay be serious."
Kay rolled her eyes. "She was poured into her clothes Miguel, and she
said she was a different person. She’s been out in the world and sweetie
she’s changed."
Miguel blinked his eyes, "She’s Charity, what harm could she cause."
He muttered to himself.
"Hey handsome, talking to yourself again?" Gwen’s voice called out
from the door.
Turning around he smiled. "Sweetheart, I didn’t know you were coming
by." Looking his girlfriend up and down he smirked. "Wow you’re looking
good sexy." He spoke his eyes catching the short black skirt, Gwen was
wearing.
"Mr. Lopez-Fitzgerald are you flirting with me?" Gwen winked. "What
would your students say?"
"Dude, Coach Lo-Fitz has the hottest woman in Harmony." He teased.
"At least that’s what they said last year."
"The hottest woman in Harmony huh?" Gwen laughed. "I’m flattered."
Wrapping his arms around Gwen, Miguel kissed her cheek, "I think they
just had a thing for the short skirts." He teased.
"Watch it Mister." She grinned sweeping her auburn hair out of her
face.
"Seriously though, you’re not wearing that to the softball game are
you? Its not really outdoor wear." Miguel laughed.
A frown fell on Gwen’s face. "Actually that’s why I’m here, I can’t
make it to the game."
Miguel frowned. "What? Why not?"
"Work." Gwen spoke. "There’s a big account that I have to work on.
Honestly Miguel if I could go I would, but I need to work tonight."
Miguel sighed. "Is Julian working tonight?"
Shaking her head Gwen leaned up against the desk. "No, he’s been working
early in the mornings. I guess I should have done the same thing, but I
didn’t."
"Well, work is work." Miguel shrugged. "You have to do it I guess."
"So you understand?" Gwen asked biting her lip.
"Yeah of course I do." Miguel spoke forcing a smile.
"Thank you so much darling." Gwen spoke hugging Miguel. "I love you
so much."
Miguel kissed Gwen’s lips, "And I love you."

Kay Bennett finished unpacking her small bag and looked around her
small light blue bedroom. She hated to bother her parents with her problems
but she knew she couldn’t be alone while she was in pain. Looking at the
picture by her bed she frowned. She couldn’t believe it had been two years
since the man she loved had died. It seemed so fresh to her, and yet she
knew many days had went by.
When she started dating Tarren she understood what love was really
about. He wasn’t the kind of guy she had ever saw herself with, but she
loved him just the same.
"Kay? Kay are you in here?" A voice called out.
"Jess in my bedroom." She smiled at her sister’s voice. After Tarren
died, Jessica and Kay had but there differences aside and finally found
a friendship that was untouchable.
Jessica appeared at the door, her shoulder length hair streaked with
a hint of auburn. "Mom was worried about you."
"Mom worries too much." Kay frowned. "I had to come back home Jess,
I couldn’t stay there another day."
"She said Charity’s back." Jessica spoke sitting down on the bed beside
Kay. "And she said she’s changed."
Kay let out a laugh. "Tight low cut clothes, more makeup than a clown
and a attitude that’s going to get her slapped. I’d say she’s changed."
"That bad huh?" Jessica frowned. "But she seemed the same when she
called or wrote."
Kay shook her head. "You didn’t talk to her Jess. She’s here to cause
trouble, and I’m pretty sure she wants Miguel back."
Jessica frowned. "She knows he’s been with Gwen for years, why would
she even think about it?"
Shrugging Kay stood from the bed, "Who knows. All I know is I need
to be far away from her. Sweet Charity was less annoying than this."
"Kay." Jessica spoke her voice almost a whisper. "You don’t think Miguel
would think about going back to her do you?"
Kay turned around and looked at her sister. "Not if I have anything
to do about it he won’t.

Beth smiled as she looked over at her daughter. "Can you believe she’s
here?" She questioned looking up at her husband. "Our little angel."
Ethan smiled softly, "She’s beautiful just like her mother." Ethan
nodded looking around their living room.
"Honey are you looking for something?" Beth questioned.
"My briefcase." He nodded.
Beth frowned. "Ethan you’re not going to work are you? I made us a
special dinner."
Ethan let out a heavy sigh. "Baby I would love to stay here and eat
with you, but Julian asked my legal advice on some account. Gwen is holding
a small meeting tonight to discuss it."
"But I thought the girls had a softball game tonight. They will be
so upset if Julian misses it."
Ethan smiled. "Gwen has been pitching in a lot lately."
"Oh." Beth sighed. "Well can I save dinner for you?"
"I’d love that baby, and tomorrow night, I promise I’ll be here." Ethan
said kissing her forehead. "Just me, you and Helena."
"No work?" Beth said with a pretend pout.
"No work."
"Okay then." She smiled. "Just try not to work to long tonight. I miss
you."
Ethan nodded his head. "I’ll be home as soon as I can." He promised.
"I think your briefcase is in the bedroom." Beth spoke. "I’ll go get
it."
Ethan smiled. "Thanks darling, you’re the best wife ever."
"I better be the only wife you ever know Ethan Bennett." Beth laughed
heading toward the bedroom as Ethan watched a grin on his face.

Chad Crane watched as Jada and Kendra stood chatting with their friends.
"Look at them baby, they look so grown up." Chad whispered into his wife’s
ear.
"That’s because they are growing up." Theresa laughed.
Chad nodded his head and swallowed as a boy with sandy blonde hair
walked up to Kendra and started talking to her.
"Resa, who’s that boy? Why is he talking to Kenji?" He asked watching
as Kendra giggled at something he said. "Is that boy flirting with my baby?"
He asked looking down at his wife with a look of horror.
"Chad, that’s Kyle Hayes, he’s harmless."
"Harmless? Resa he looks years older than Kendra, he must be what fourteen?"
He questioned.
"Try eleven." Theresa laughed. "He’s in the sixth grand Chad, he’s
only a grade ahead of Kenji."
"A grade." Chad frowned. "But she’s nine, she skipped a grade."
"Chad calm down." Theresa spoke touching his arm. "Kendra is okay."
Chad shook his head. "No, I heard her and Jada the other day giggling
about boys. My girls are too young to like boys, I’m not ready for it yet."
Rolling her eyes Theresa reached up and kissed Chad’s cheek. "I hate
to tell you this, but they are normal girls, who happen to think that boys
are cute."
Chad frowned his chocolate eyes staring down at his wife, "Does Kendra
think ‘that’ boy is cute?"
"Actually Jada is the one with a crush on him." Theresa grinned. "Kenji
just wants to beat him in baseball."
Chad took a deep breath. "I can’t take this Resa. We can’t have anymore
girls, I can’t handle the pressure."
Smacking her husband playfully on the chest she laughed. "Just think
baby, we still have the teenage years to look forward too. Your going to
have so much fun."

"Julian where is Taylor’s glove? Darling we’re going to be late if we
don’t find it!" Ivy called out to her husband.
"Its not up here!" Julian called back. "I checked everywhere."
Ivy turned to see her daughter sitting on the sofa watching the whole
scene with amusement. "Taylor do you know where you put that glove?" She
asked crossing her arms.
Taylor shook her head quickly. "No, I gave it to Ericka and she handed
it to Jonah." She frowned.
"Jonah." Ivy sighed. "We’ll never find it then."
"Mommy I really wanted to play today." Taylor frowned. "Ericka is going
to watch and everything."
Ivy walked over to Taylor and smiled wrapping her arms around the red
headed beauty. "Sweetie, we’ll just get you another glove. We’ll make it
in time don’t worry." She assured the small girl.
"But I like that glove." Taylor frowned.
"And we’ll find it, just not right now." Ivy smiled. "Now lets get
your father and go."

The figured peered out at the baseball field, his eyes searching it. Children ran everywhere playing and laughing. Hiding behind a tree he made sure no one saw him as he looked over at the small section that held a very familiar family. He saw the Crane teens talking to a few people, as small children ran around them. Not far away from them Chad Crane was standing hugged up to his wife as she talked to her brother and mother. They all looked happy, and as he slowly disappeared from where he stood he let out a deep breath. Soon he would shock them all. When the time was right he would change their lives forever.

Julian Crane walked numbly down his stairs a frown placed on his face
as he looked at is wife.
"Julian what’s wrong?" She questioned quickly running to him.
Julian leaned against the stair railing. "I just talked to a doctor
at father’s hospital."
"Oh Julian what did he say? Did something happen?"
Wrapping his arm around Ivy he nodded his head. "Yes something happened
Ivy. Father escaped from the mental ward today. "
