Chapter 20
The next night, Paloma had rented a room in the same hotel as Eve. It was
a Crane hotel and Theresa let her have the room for the night for free.
It was supposed to be a relaxing girls party to celebrate Simone’s kicking
Spike’s a** and Jessica’s retirement from hooking. Jessica wasn’t in the
mood for a party (which was what Paloma had been counting on) but Simone
needed the escape from her house. The next day after telling her mother,
she told her father. He had been less understanding. Ever since she told
him, he had been shoving the idea of men down her throat. Paloma never thought
she would love T.C. Russell more than she did when Simone told her that
she just had to get out of the house.
She had decorated the room with five fat candles and set them on a low
burn. She played Sade in the background and put on her a very sexy teddy.
She knew how to seduce men but women were a different story. She extremely
nervous, but also she was ready to take this step with Simone. She knew
that Simone was the love of her life and now she wanted her as the fire
in her bed. She had never felt this way towards anyone before and intensity
of waiting for her was driving her mad.
“Paloma?” Simone walked slowly into the room. She saw the candles and heard
the music-- vaguely. What drew her attention the most of the young woman
in the middle of the room. For a second, Simone had forgotten how to breathe.
Paloma had looked so innocent and naughty at the same time. Her eyes darted
around the room and Simone took note of her tapping her fingers against
her thigh. The teddy she had on was red and see-through. It dipped low in
the front and high on the bottom. Before Paloma could finish a sentence,
Simone was across the room and kissing her. She held her close to her body
and felt a sigh of relief run through her lover. Simone knew that she was
not going to fight what happened tonight. She had been fighting it for too
long now.
Paloma lost all nervousness as Simone, showing good upper body strength,
picked her up. Her legs went automatically around Simone’s waist and held
her tightly there. She ran whispers of kisses down Simone’s neck and was
reward with a steamy groan. Simone placed Paloma on the bed and lay on top
of her. She took Paloma’s hand and ran it along her body slowly. Paloma enjoyed
her one hand tour but soon used both. She took control and used them to get
Simone’s shirt off, much to Simone’s amusement.
“You are so beautiful. I love you, so much.” Paloma stared at her lover
dressed in nothing but jeans and a bra. She pulled Simone’s head down to hers
and kissed her thoroughly. She soon pushed down the straps on the bra she
wore felt Simone for the first time in her hand without restraints. It was
better than all her nights of dreaming.
“Are you sure? I don’t want you to regret this and I’m not turning back
after this. I won’t force you into any major changes but I love you Paloma.
I want this to be just us.” Simone knew she wasn’t saying the words just right
but it didn’t matter. She loved the young woman beneath her more than anyone.
Paloma answered her by undoing the button to her jeans and pushing down
past her hips. She slid down on the bed until she was at level to kiss Simone’s
belly button.
“I am so ready for you to stop your talking and get this thing off of me.”
Paloma said playfully smirk. Simone pulled her up so they were face to face.
“You are going to get me in so much trouble.”
Across town, Whitney wiggled out of Chad’s arm. It had been another usual
night of mind blowing sex with him and it gave her energy while knocking
him out. She set to clean the small space they lived in; she figured if they
were going to live in a small area, it should be clean. She was throwing
things out when she found a picture of him from his childhood. She had never
seen any pictures of him before the age of eighteen when he was finally out
of the system. They both shared stories of foster homes though she barely
remembered hers. She had been four when Eve and T.C saved her from the foster
care system. She thought they were both angels sent to rescue her. Chad’s
experience had been less than stellar and he never seemed to be placed in
a good home. In the picture, he was smiling and his arm was around another
little boy who had the most amazing eyes.
“Babe, who is this?” Whitney shook him gently and waited for him to wake
up.
“Come on, Whit. I’m sleep.” Chad turned over though because he loved her
and she wouldn’t let him sleep until she got attention.
“You’re awake now. Who is this in the picture?”
“Oh, sweetie, I haven’t seen this picture in a while.” He sat up in bed
and gathered her into his lap. He loved the feel of her and she loved his
arms around her. He traced the tattoo of his zodiac sign on her thigh. He
had her sign on his arm.
“Focus.”
“I knew him as a kid. His name is Chase but he called himself Chance from
the first day I met him in the group home. Everyone made fun of him because
as he said ‘his flame was brighter than most.’ I helped him fight off the
other boys but he could hold his own. Plus, he has a beautiful singing voice.
Not as good as yours though.”
“Really? I never knew this about you.”
“I don’t know why I never talk about him. We meet up monthly for lunch
and he’s like a brother to me. We’re kinda close. You’re going to meet him
soon. Can’t marry a woman without her meeting Chance first.” He kissed her
shoulder and held his breath for her response.
“I would love to meet Chance. Isn’t that funny, we both have gay sibli—.
Did you just propose?”
“Yes.”
“YES!” She leaned back and kissed him. She turned herself in his arms and
straddled him between her legs. She had been hoping for this question since
he asked her to move in.
“I love you, Whitney. I love you so much.”
“I love you too, Chad. I can’t wait to be Mrs. Harris.”
