Chapter 4
 

"Jasolyn Crane?" Theresa muttered as the girl pushed past her and entered Chad’s apartment.
"So where is he? Jasolyn inquired looking back at Theresa.
"Where’s who?" She asked closing the door.
"Oh don’t play dumb. Chad Harris, or should I say Crane." The girl laughed. Theresa looked at her, a young Ivy Crane, that was what she appeared to me from a glance.
"Chad’s out with his mother." Theresa answered caught in confusion.
"Oh yes, the wonderful Dr. Russell." The girl slurred.
"Why did you want to see Chad?" Theresa asked watching closely as the girl viewed Chad’s apartment.
She shrugged, "I find out my father has another kid, I want to see him, scope out the competition I suppose."
"Competition? Chad isn’t trying to compete with you." Theresa said feeling her blood boil.
The girl shook her head, "Oh don’t give me that. He’s marrying you, that says plenty." She scoffed.
"Excuse me?" Theresa said putting both hands on her hips.
"Well, first you tried marrying Ethan, but he turned out not being a Crane. " She said looking at the pictures Chad had placed on his wall, "But he was a lawyer so that did mean money right? " She laughed. "But he left you crying at the alter, so now your engaged to the newest Crane? Sounds kind of odd to me."
Theresa tilted her head up high, "Just who do you think you are?" She yelled.
Jasolyn merely smiled, not showing any anger, "I’m Julian Crane’s little girl, that says it all."
"How dare you! I love Chad, I don’t care who he is! And for your information, he doesn’t want Julian’s money, neither of us do. He’s too good to go after anyone’s money. " Theresa said her voice high.
"Spare me the Scarlet O’Hara routine. I’ve got you pegged. And I intend to make sure neither you or your little Chad get a dime of what belongs to me." The girl insisted with a side way grin.
"Scarlet O’Hara? Let me explain one thing to you about Scarlet O’Hara, she was a strong willed woman who didn’t back down, and if you think your going to do ANYTHING to hurt Chad, I promise you one thing, I’ll make Scarlet O’Hara look like a Angel. No one is going to stomp over my man, not even his money grubbing little sister. " Theresa yelled.
"Resa what’s going on in here." Chad said rushing in the door. Stopping he looked at his bride to be, her face bright red, then at the girl standing next to the wall.
"Chad, meet your sister." Theresa said sending the girl a evil glare as she pointed toward her.

"Sher what are they up to?" Luis whined.
"For the fifth time, ask her. " Sheridan laughed.
"I did, she wouldn’t tell me. Look is my sister doing something bad?" He asked in cop mode.
"No, Luis don’t worry about it."
"Worry about what?" Julian asked walking in the door.
"Oh nothing. Julian what are you doing here?" Sheridan asked.
"The door was opened I hope you don’t mind." He said looking up at Luis, then back at Sheridan.
Luis bent down and kissed Sheridan’s cheek, "I’m going to go visit mama. I’ll be home soon."
Sheridan nodded, "Love you honey."
"Love you too Sheridan." Luis smiled walking out.
"You two really are in love, I can see that now." Julian said sitting down beside Sheridan.
"Yes, Luis is my soul mate."
"He’s a good man, I was foolish not to see that." Julian admitted.
"You know Julian, there is someone out there for you." Sheridan smiled brightly.
"Perhaps, then again maybe all my sins have caught up with me, and I just don’t deserve love." Julian frowned.
Sheridan patted Julian on the hand. "Now don’t say that. You’re changing, and you do deserve love."
"Well I don’t think she’s here in Harmony, all the women here hate me." He said with a shaky laugh.
"That isn’t true. I don’t hate you, and what about Eve? She doesn’t hate you."
Julian gave out a huge laugh, " Eve? Eve detests me! She doesn’t want to be in the same room with me for more than 5 seconds Sheridan. " Julian explained.
Sheridan frowned, "Julian don’t say that. Eve cares about you, you two share a child."
"And I also have children with Ivy, but there is NO love there." He said standing up. "No, I just don’t think I’ll ever find real love. You and Luis, and Chad and Theresa, you are the lucky ones. " He sighed.
Sheridan watched Julian, his face somber, as if he had lost all hope of real love. This was her brother, and she loved him dearly, seeing him lonely made her want to find him someone. Perhaps Theresa and Chad were on to something after all, maybe Eve and Julian did belong together.
"Julian, don’t give up yet. I have a feeling you’ll find love very soon. "
Julian laughed, "Oh I don’t know about that, but you just keep dreaming my dear sister."

Eve sat back on the sofa in her office, relaxing she shut her eyes. She had her son, the son she had lost years before, Julian’s son. But Julian made her sick, this Julian was nothing like the man she once knew. Oh how she missed that man.

Flashback
"Eve dear, You know I love you." Julian whispered in her ear as they sat next to a tree in the park.
"And I love you Julian." She said back a smile dancing on her face.
"I’m so happy I’ve found you, and I don’t care what anyone says Eve, your my true love." Julian said kissing her cheek.
"True Love." Eve hummed. "I like the sound of that."
"Well my darling its the truth. We belong together, no matter what father says. "
"You would go against your father for me?" Eve asked sitting up
"I’d stand up for you to anyone, including my father. That’s what my love is all about darling, and I want nothing more than to share forever with just you." Julian smiled wrapping his arms around Eve’s waist.
"Oh Julian, I’ve never been this happy in my life." Eve sighed melting into his arms.
End

"Liar." Eve yelled bolting up from the sofa. "You are a liar Julian Crane. You didn’t stand up for me. And for that I hate you." Eve said backing down to a whisper as tears began to roll onto her cheeks.
