Chapter 5
"Sister?" Chad repeated Theresa’s words.
"So you’re Chad? I saw your picture in a few tabloids. But now I finally
get to meet you." The girl said raising her head high.
"And you are?" Chad asked trying to remember the names of Julian’s
children.
"I’m Jasolyn Crane. " She said extending her hand to Chad. "I’ve already
had a lovely chat with your bride to be." Jasolyn smirked.
Theresa rolled her eyes, "This girl, came into your house and started
talking about how she was going to protect the ‘Crane money’ from us Chad.
Can you believe this?"
Chad nodded, " So your Jasolyn, your the oldest girl right?" He asked.
She smiled, "You’ve been studying the family tree, I’m impressed."
"I’m not. What I found didn’t impress me at all. " Chad said looking
at the girl.
"But you do know all about my brother and my sister I suppose. " Jasolyn
said with a laugh. "What a kind hearted fool my little sister is, and what
a idiot my brother is."
"I’ve heard stories. I’ve also been told you are the one they compare
to Alistar. Cruel and ruthless."
Jasolyn put her hand on her chest. "Oh really? I was compared to grandfather?
What a honor." She smirked.
"You think its a honor to be compared to a low life like Alistar?"
Theresa huffed.
"Now is that anyway to talk about the dead? Have some respect Theresa."
Jasolyn said turning to look at Theresa.
Theresa rolled her eyes, "Chad, I’m going home, Call me when this little
money grubbier leaves."
Chad grabbed Theresa’s arm. "Baby don’t go just yet, I really need
to talk to you."
Jasolyn shook her head, "Wow, she’s really got you pulled in hasn’t
she brother dear? You do realize she just wants Julian’s money."
"You have no idea who Theresa is. Who either one of us are. And since
when do you call your father Julian? Have some respect Jasolyn." Chad threw
back at her.
"Oh whatever. That man has never been there for me. And now suddenly
he finds out you’re his son, and he can’t wait to spend time with you.
What have you two done to him anyway? We all know all you want is his money.
Julian Crane isn’t worth much more than that, Money and Name." She shrugged.
"Do not talk about MY father that way! We could care less about his
money. And have you ever stopped to think maybe he’s changed? You Miss
Jasolyn Crane, can just get out of my house right now! " Chad demanded
as Theresa opened up the door.
Jasolyn stuck her head high in the air. "You do realize this is just
the beginning. Whatever little plan you two have plotted up, I’ll make
sure you fail at it. " She said as she headed out the door, Theresa shutting
it just shy of hitting her.
~*~*~*~
Julian paced holding his cell phone to his ear. "You say Jasolyn came
in today? Ivy why is she here?" Julian asked his ex wife.
"I’m not really sure, I wouldn’t have known myself if Ericka hadn’t
of called."
Julian smiled at the sound of his youngest child’s name. Ericka was
a young Sheridan. Kind and loving. "So Ericka told you? "
"Yes, she said Jasolyn had came to Harmony and she was worried." Ivy
said.
"Well I’m sure she won’t stop by to see me. We both know that girl
hates me."
"Yes, that is something Jasolyn and I both can agree on. We both hate
you." Ivy laughed.
"Oh shut up." Julian huffed. I’m sure she’s here to cause some sort
of trouble, after all she is YOUR child too."
Ivy laughed into the phone. "Well at least I warned you. I shouldn’t
have done that much. I’ve got to run Julian. Good luck." She chuckled hanging
up the phone.
Julian clinched the phone in his hand. "Jasolyn Crane what are you
up to now?" He pondered aloud.
~*~*~*~
"Your sister is a major pain!" Theresa yelled flopping down on the couch.
"Relax girl, don’t you think I know that? And that would be Half-Sister.
" Chad added sitting down beside Theresa.
Theresa looked at Chad her face serious. "You know I’m not after money,
that I wasn’t when I was with Ethan either right?" She asked.
Chad took her hand and smiled. "Baby I know that."
"Because I love you so much. And I don’t want people thinking anything.
I mean I didn’t even know you were a Crane when we started dating." She
rambled.
Chad looked at her and chuckled. "You done now?" he asked as she nodded
like a small child.
"Good. Now you listen to me. I love you, everything about you, and
I believe in you. I don’t care what Jasolyn Crane or anyone else says,
you got that?"
Theresa smiled, "I just love you so much Chad. And now Jasolyn has
came into town and I just get scared."
"Theresa! Girl you know you’re stuck with me for life! Now in a few
months we’re getting married and my parents are going to get back together.
Jasolyn Crane can’t stop what’s real." He smiled.
"Speaking of what’s real, I saw your father today." Theresa remembered.
"You did? Where at?"
"Here. He stopped by to see you but you had left already. The funny
thing was we we’re talking and I heard him muttering under his breath."
"So? He does that all the time." Chad laughed.
Theresa lightly slapped Chad’s knee as her voice returned to its happy
tone. "Let me finish.’ She laughed. "I was telling him how wonderful you
was. And you know what he said?"
"What? Did he agree?" Chad smirked.
"Well of course he did silly, but under his breath he said ‘just like
his mother.’ He thinks your kind and caring just like Eve!" She exclaimed.
"Your kidding?" Chad asked his grin becoming wider by the second.
"No!"
"Well just let me tell you." Chad said excited. " I asked mother if
she loved him, you know when I was conceived and she did. She admitted
that she loved him Resa. And I could see this look in her eyes, Like she
wanted to go back." Chad rattled.
Theresa wrapped her arms around Chad. "You know I think we really can
do this." She chirped.
"Yeah and if I can get Lori to help us." He began.
"Lori?" Theresa asked arching her eyebrow.
"Relax, she’s just a 13 year old girl I met at the park, I’ve talked
to her twice. She’s spunky, and has all these great idea’s. "
"So you’ve been talking to some strange girl at the park? " Theresa
asked.
"She’s a cute kid, her parents are divorced, I don’t know I think she’d
be a big help."
Theresa nodded, "Well do you know how to get in touch with her?" Theresa
quizzed.
Chad frowned. "No, just see her at the park. "
Theresa smiled, "Don’t worry sweetie, I’m sure you’ll see her again.
"
Chad laughed. "You always think postive don’t you?" He asked placing
a kiss on Theresa’s forehead.
"Well I try." She giggled snuggling up to Chad. "Don’t worry, I think
our plan is going to work just fine."
Chad nodded. "I think your right." He said wrapping his arms around
Theresa’s small waist.
"Chad can I ask you something?" Theresa said relaxing against his chest.
"Anything."
"When you was a kid did you always dream of your parents being together?"
Chad laughed. "You know, I used to have this dream, every night, that
I had these perfect parent’s, I never saw their faces, but I was always
running around outside and we had this big yard surrounded by a white picket
fence. The dad would be playing ball with me, and my mom she’d be inside
baking. I know it sounds dumb, but I felt so safe. " Chad said a soft smile
on his face.
Theresa looked up at him and smiled, "We’re going to have that you
know. Someday we can be those parent’s to our children, and they can play
in a big yard with a fence. And your parent’s will be together like you
always wanted." Theresa sighed praying in her mind, that was exactly what
happened. Not for herself but for Chad.
"That sounds so perfect." Chad told her. And it did, it was what he
wanted, and he was determined to make it happen.
