Crane Mansion

“Julian…are you all right?” Eve asked as she rushed to Julian’s side.

“I’m fine…honest…” Julian stammered; at the same time, he was amazed at the devotion that Eve had for him and his injury.

“Now Julian…I know that is a lie. I can see the pain in your eyes. I insist that I look at your injury.”

“All right…All right..”

Eve took out her medical supplies and placed her opened bag in between herself and Julian. Eyeing the stethoscope in the bag, Julian removed it and put it around himself to feel his heart. He smiled at the thought and then said, “Eve…I can’t hear my heart beat. I did, but I think it’s broken.”

“Broken. Julian, you’re heart can’t be broken. Let me listen.” Eve explained to him as she took the ear tips from him, and put it in her own. “I can’t hear anything either.” And then she realized why, Julian was holding the cold metal diaphragm piece in his hand.

“I don’t want you to hear it breaking.”

“Julian, there is no such thing as dying from a broken heart.” Eve replied as she took the stethoscope from his hand and returned it to her medical bag and got the rest of the necessary supplies she needed from her bag.

“There is with me Eve. I never stopped loving you.”

“But we’ve both moved on Julian…And now we’re married…to other people..”

She sighed and began to work on Julian’s wound. She was nearly done when Julian began to hum a song, at first it was unrecognizable to her at first. Then the humming turned into singing as she completed her task.

“Catch a falling star an’ put it in your pocket… Never let it fade away!…Catch a falling star an’ put it in your pocket,…Save it for a rainy day!…For love may come an' tap you on the shoulder, …Some star-less night! …Just in case you feel you wanna’ hold her, …You’ll have a pocketful of starlight!” Julian sang beautifully as he looked into Eve’s beautiful chocolate eyes.

“Julian…that’s our song…isn’t?” Eve questioned.

“Shh…” Julian replied putting a finger on his own lips, then hers as he pulled her into a kiss.

All negative thoughts began to escape Eve’s mind, as if she was at peace. All the wonderful moments and times she had shared with Julian one time before began to return to her. She didn’t want to pull away; she actual felt at home in his arms.

“Julian, I …” Eve attempted to say, but was pulled back into another passionate kiss by Julian.

Each second that passed felt more like a minute. With each second that soon turned into minutes, the passionate kiss got deeper and stronger. It was like they were in another dimension in which nothing else mattered except their love for each other.

Russell Home

TC picked up his napkin and placed it into his lap as Liz placed a plate on his spot. He looked into her eyes, and smiled, he could see something in her eyes yet decided to keep quiet about it.

As Liz sat down beside him with her own plate, he contemplated calling Eve downstairs to join them. He hated the fact how she had to work all the times, and worst of all, send their daughter to Los Angeles after he strictly forbid it.

“Come on TC. Dig in before it gets soggy.” Liz told TC as he dug into her own food.

“Where’s Eve? Isn’t she going to join us?” TC asked as he looked down at the food, which Liz put on his place mat.

“Oh…didn’t you know?” Liz questioned raising her eyebrows as she finished her bite.

“Know what?”

“She’s at the Crane mansion. There was some sort of emergency, and they needed her assistance.”

“What?” TC responded outraged as he threw down his napkin with anger piercing through his eyes.

“I’m sorry TC. I thought Eve told you before you left.” Liz replied, yet secretly thought, “TC, what you don’t know yet, won’t hurt you. You’ll find out soon enough about Eve and her past…And that the evil sister that I always talked about is none other than her…”

“I can’t believe this. I want our marriage to work…And what does she do? It’s Whitney’s 21st birthday. For God’s sakes!”

“Calm down TC!”

“How can I calm down if Eve is at the Crane mansion of ALL places…”

“TC…listen to me…it will be okay…” Liz told him reassuringly as she pulled him into a kiss.

The temptation had already been there, and she just needed something to shut TC up. Everything was going fine, until Simone entered, and said…

“Daddy, what’s going on here?”

Snapping back to reality, TC whirled around and saw her, and replied, “Sugar bear…”

Kim’s Apartment

“Damn it…Why can’t Fox answer the phone for once.” Kim thought aloud as she turned on her computer to send him an email.

While she waited for it to load up, she came across an old photo album of herself and Fox. One of which was of them on a date for the Halloween dance.

They had decided to dress up as bride and groom, and to fool their friends by saying they secretly eloped together just hours before. Even though it was just a joke, Kim wished it was real, and the love she still had for Fox was real.

Flashback

“So here’s my idea…we’ll dress up as a bride and groom, and tell our friends that we secretly got hitched.” Fox told Kim as he pulled her into his lap and kissed her tenderly on the lips.

“I like it. But what if they ask us for proof?” Kim asked as he massaged his neck.

“All ready taken care of. Being a Crane has its perks.”

“Sure does.”

“Here’s the engagement ring which I’ve chosen for you.” Fox replied as he handed her the jewelry box.

“Fox, it’s beautiful…I love it…I just wish it was for real.”

“Maybe some day it will be…”

“Would you like to see the wedding dress which I chose, or would you rather keep it a surprise?”

“It’s up to you.” As he pulled Kim into another kiss, and pushed her hair behind her ears.

End of flashback…(for now)…

It abruptly ended it there as there was a knock at Kim’s door. Wondering who it was, Kim put down the photo album and went over to answer it.

Outside the Recording Studio

“So Chad…where would you like to take me?” Syd seductively asked Chad as she played with his shirt.

“Um…It’s anywhere you’d like” Chad responded as if he was caught up in the moment, and forgetting the fact he was engaged to Whitney.

“Well, how about my place? It’s nice and private” Syd told him and pulled him into a kiss as her limousine pulled up.

Breaking away from the kiss, Chad pointed to her that the limousine had arrived for them.

“It can wait…” Syd told him.

Getting annoyed, Chad coolly said, “Come on Syd…You have tons of potential, and I really want to talk to you about it over lunch.”

As they got into the limousine, Syd made note of where they were headed, so she could report back to Fox, as part of their deal to ruin the relationship of Chad and Whitney forever.

Crane Apartment

It was show time for Fox. His first date with Whitney Russell. He fixed his tuxedo, and gelled back his hair before he made any other moves. Taking one last glance at his mirror, he made his way towards Chad and Whitney’s suite.

“Whitney, you ready?” Fox asked as he knocked on her door.

“In a minute…” Whitney replied, as she added the final touches to her outfit, and added some last minute makeup.

Fox patiently waited as he leaned against the wall beside the bedroom. The doorbell rang and he excused himself. It was the roses, which he ordered for Whitney. Tipping the delivery boy generously, he rushed back to the room to surprise Whitney as she opened the door.

Just as Fox approached with seconds to spare, the door opened, and out walked Whitney. Fox was left speechless, and didn’t know what to say at first.

“Fox, you all right?” Whitney asked looking into his eyes.

“Yes, more than fine.” Fox replied smiling and handing her the roses, and continued, “These are for you. Happy Birthday Whitney”, as he laid a kiss on her cheek.

“Thank you Fox. I love them. Shall we go? I don’t want to be late. After all, this is a once in a lifetime thing.”

“Yes, let’s go.” Fox agreed taking Whit’s arm into his and escorting her outside to the waiting limousine that he’d rented for them.

“I can’t believe I’m doing this.” Whitney smiled brightly as they walked towards the limousine.

“You deserve nothing but the best. Careful of the water, I don’t want you to…”

Slip… But the words came out to late.

Whitney had slipped on the tiles near the pool; blacking out after hitting her head on the hard surface. Worst of all, she had no recollection of what Fox had said last to her.

“Whitney…Wake up…” Fox tried shaking her with fear and pain in his eyes.

A slight moan came, then nothing else.
