Crane Mansion

Julian sat down in his chair in the library after a long day’s work. He hated how his father had to control his every move. Julian was a grown man, yet his father controlled him as a child. Moments later, a song began to play in the background of his study.

“…My Baby’s Gone…Gone from me for good…”, the voice sang with such emotion.

“Oh Eve, I didn’t mean to hurt you, or our baby” Julian sighed to himself as he heard the lyrics. The lyrics meant so much to him, and he hated the fact that he had let his first true love go.

The song came to an abrupt end as the lights flickered off and back on. Annoyed, Julian got up from his comfortable chair to see what was the problem, but before he could, his private phone line rang.

Julian sauntered over to the phone, and answered it, “Hello Julian Crane, speaking.”

“Julian! Quit playing that music, and listen up.” The voice bellowed from the other side.

“Father…What on earth is it now?” Julian asked with worry that his father had come to realize that he had started to develop feelings for Eve once more. Paralyzed with fear, his drinking glass fell from his hand, and crashed onto the floor into a dozen pieces.

Whitney couldn’t believe it, Fox had managed to make her birthday something special after all. She wanted to repay him somehow, but had no clue on where to start. She was busy getting ready for the play, when the private phone extension in Fox’s room rang.

She was about to answer it, when the answering machine came on, and said, “Hey this is Nicholas Foxworth Crane, I’m currently flirting with a beautiful woman. Leave me a message, and I’ll get back to you when I can.”

A young lady’s voice came on, and left her message of, “Fox! It’s me Kim! I heard you are in LaLa land at last! I just got a job transfer and now I’m here in LaLa land myself. I love you Fox! Call me sometime at 555-0121”

“Hmm.,.That’s weird, Fox never mentioned a Kim. Ah well. It’s his private business” Whitney thought to herself as she returned to her and Chad’s bedroom to finish getting ready. Part of her did feel jealous, but she kept it to herself.

Whitney was adding some final touches to her outfit when there was a knock on her door.

“Whitney? Does Chad have an extra shirt which I can borrow?” the voice same from the other side from Fox.

“Yeah, you are a medium right Fox?” Whitney asked.

“Yup”, Fox smirked, and unbeknownst to Whitney, he was on the other side only in his towel.

“Okay, one second.” Whitney told him as she grabbed a shirt of Chad’s from his suitcase.

Whitney approached the door slowly; she had to be prepared for anything. As she opened the door, there was Fox, in only a towel that was only covering his bottom half. As she handed him the shirt, as he pulled her into a passionate kiss and then pulled her towards his room slowly undressing her.

She wasn’t fighting back; she was actually enjoying herself and she wasn’t ready to give up. As they lay on Fox’s bed, kissing passionately, there was a click at the front door with somebody about to come in.
